Cody's pov.

I haven't seen London since that day in the park, which was almost a month ago.

I wondered how she was doing but i couldn't pick up my phone and just ask.

I know she hates my guts.

But i couldn't do it anymore, each day i regret my decision just brings me back. To that argument.

I told her to leave, i made her leave.

She got into that car accident because of me.

I could have stopped it.

I could have went to that appointment.

It's all my fault.

Thats why i had to force myself to move on from it.

I waited outside the school for my mother's car to pull up.

I wish could drive, and be around a large group of people again, wish i could be normal again.

But since the day i found out i had a mass in my brain and that it was cancerous nothing has been the same.

But this was only just the beginning.

Just then my mom pulled up in the front of the school, she picked me up early so i could go to one of my appointments.

"Everything alright?" She asked as i entered the car.

"Yeah, a little tired. Dad had some work to do and he didn't get much sleep last night so his noise kept me awake practically all weekend." I sighed.

"I'm sorry baby, i wish you didn't have to do this. Especially now during everything u have going on."

I nodded, not knowing the right words to say.

"But cancer doesn't just affect you, it affects the whole family!" She chuckled slightly.

"What?" I glared at her.

She stopped at the red light and turned to me.

"You getting diagnosed with cancer changed the whole family Cody. Therapy, checkups, test, it was alot. You're father and i had to change our work schedules it was never going to work out."

She turned her head back, focusing on the road, and start to drive again.

"Are you saying it's my fault?" I asked.

"No honey! Not at all." She answered quick.

I stared out the window for a minutes and turned back to her.

"Why does everyone make it seem like i had a choice? Like it's all my fault? Cancer wasn't a would you rather question, it was something that just happened i couldn't control it." My jaw tightened.

"Cody.."

See i was right.

"No mom thats what you meant."

"Cody-."

I cut her off.

"That's what everyone meant!"

I gave her a humorless laugh and rolled my eyes.

"That's what everyone meant.." I muttered.

She pulled over to the side of the road.

"Cody thats not what i said."
