"Master... Wake up for us..."

I felt someone held my hand ever so gently. It felt warm and comforting.

"Wake up for me... Your..."

I finally recognize who was that someone who was holding my hand so gently, as if he's going to break my hand. Though the beeps and the lights were overwhelming, I find myself anticipating from what my dear Leviathan would say next.

"Your husband..."

I smiled and was able to finally looked at my other side after it took a few seconds for me to adjust from the harsh white lighting of the hospital room. I moved my thumb under his hand, as a way to caress and comfort him and said,

"My... My dear Azeru finally got around to the idea of marrying me~"

Unfortunately, my voice was cracking, so that was embarrassing on my side. Hey, at least what I said was audible. Though... I know it was audible for him because it's automatic for familiars and their masters to understand each other.

My dear familiar, whose eyes were red and puffy from crying from who knows how long now, were suddenly wide and my actions left his mouth agape.

"Master..."

"That's wife for you now, Azeru."

He was slightly blushing since he realized he got caught saying that, but he pushed his feelings aside and hugged me as gently as he can. I patted his back, and told him I am still here, and he has nothing to worry about. He helped me sit straight up, and gave me a glass of water to sip to moisten up my dry throat. After that, he carried me on his arms, and sat up on the hospital bed and propped me to his lap as if he was my bed himself. 

Damn, he feels... good.

Heh. 

"I don't know what I will do if you won't ever wake up again... I'm one of the last remaining Leviathans. If you were gone, you would be the first and the last Demon who summoned one."

"Well, I'm still here, no? I don't die easily--well, that's all because of Granny's powers she gave, pft. Well, it's a treat to see a very handsome face after doing something amazing. I'm okay, Azeru. It seemed that I just got overwhelmed from the power I had that I suddenly released to stop all that stuff. It seems I have to undergo training now that I realized and released that kind of power."

There was never a day where I imagined my handsome familiar would voluntary kiss the top of my head and snuggle on my neck.

"I promise to be a better familiar, Master. I won't ever let you feel pain and suffering like that ever again. I promise I'll keep you and the people you cherish safe."

"Oh my, is this a promise or a vow."

Instead of the bashful face he would make every time I tease him, he held me tighter, but not to the point it would hurt me. 

"Master, I'm being serious. I can't afford to lose you. I just want to make you happy and safe with the rest of the people you cherish. I just want you to live your new life happily, and I also would support you when you want to conquer the whole demon world."

He kissed my back and sighed, obviously exhausted from staying up to watch me all this time. His warm breath made me shudder from how hot it was.

"I appreciate everything you do, Azeru. I'm glad it was you who I got fated to meet and become partners with."

"...Master, you sound like you're saying your vows as well."

I smiled at his response. I reached for his head and patted his head and ruffled his hair slightly.

"It seems my dear familiar is now accustomed to teasing and even can retort now. I guess I have to change my tactics to make you blush and make your life more exciting."

"I have been the happiest ever since I met you, Master. Everything is an adventure a good day when I'm with you."

"Oh my, I think it's my time to blush now."

Which I did. I never expected that I would be as confident as now. Compared before, where I hang my head low, now I can finally brave the world with my head held high and with each hand being held by the people I love.

"Ehem!"

We looked up to see the others standing near the door. The others, all of my classmates, and my best friends were all over there, blushing and smiling at me. Gramps and Opera-San were also there--Gramps was looking mad and Opera-San had this blank look, though his tail says that he was feeling upset.

"Hello, everyone. How long was I asleep for?"

"You slept for a while--a week, to be exact. I'm just glad you're up and is feeling okay, Y/N." 

"It's nice to see you all again. I didn't expect to see everyone over here, especially you're all scared of my dear familiar over here who made himself become my bed."

"We may be scared of him, but our worries for you are far greater than our fear for him."

Even though I have my back on him, I can tell he felt happy hearing that. 

Suddenly there was a knock on my door, and saw a senior nurse, who was glaring at everyone, especially at Azeru.

"You. Get out of there, and put the patient in a laying position. Immediately."

Even Azeru was scared of her, it seems. After doing that, he stood beside the others. The senior nurse, who was glaring so harshly at Azeru, turned to me and was gazing at me softly with a small, soft smile.

"Hello, my dear. How are you doing?"

"I'm doing well. Though I still feel a bit sore since I slept long."

"Well, normally, I would ask you to do a stretch, and walk around the hospital, but it's getting late."

She pointed to the clock on my right side, and it read 11 pm. It was pretty late, and I don't even know how they were able to sneak past the visitation hours. 

"I need to check your vitals real quick, as well as tomorrow morning, so that we could finalize your papers and you can leave by that time as well. So for now..."

She turned to the others, who flinched as a reaction to her sudden movement,

"Get out or I'll throw you to her window. Though you can stay over here, Mr. Familiar."

Some pouted though left because they were scared of the senior nurse, while Azeru turned himself as my bracelet.

"Just push the button if you need any assistance or anything such as food. Have a good night, darling."

"Thank you for the time and help."

As the nurse left, Azeru turned himself to a plushie, which I held onto. He felt warm and fuzzy, so not long after, I went back to sleep. There's a lot of stuff I need to know. Where is Kirio, who is he affiliated to since with that kind of power, for sure someone's backing him up, and how can I control my powers from now on. For now, I would gladly cuddle with my warm and comforting familiar.
