Y/N and Sabnock watched as the others who got to the finish line earlier get their student rank from the Ranking Owl with hands up in the air. For the class rank, our dearest Y/N is the last in the class. Looking at Sabnock, she can't help but laugh at what happened before. Sabnock offered her the second to the last rank, which she knew that he offered it innocently because he felt he was indebted (even though Y/N said that was not the point of her saving him) to her after saving him from the Guardian of the Valley. The look on his face when he realized that he might have been ridiculing her as she was the last place and apologized multiple times—he only stopped when Kalego told him to be silent.

Sabnock, on the other hand, feels Y/N's stare and mistakes it for how she's upset at him. He wanted to apologize once more, so he turned around and couldn't help but make a face of surprise when she was smiling instead of frowning.

"Aigoo, you don't have to feel bad. I knew that you only offered that out of feeling indebted. As I said before, it was my choice to save you. How about this? Please think of it this way. You already paid me by being safe. That is all that I want. To reassure you, I did not feel offended by your offer—not at all. As I said, as long as everyone is safe and I did what I need to do, all is good."

It seemed that Y/N was becoming better at how she expressed her thoughts and feelings these days that it affected Sabnock so much that his cheeks, up to his ears, turned bright red.

Y/N and Sabnock did not know that there was a man who can't help but feel jealous of their interaction. Asmodeus wanted to show what rank he got to his master but stopped at a distance enough for Y/N and Sabnock to not notice his presence and for him to properly eavesdrop. He felt angry and sad that he wasn't charming enough for his master because he had never experienced being called as cute by his one and only master.

He watched as Sabnock stood up and looked back at his master, and he noticed that her arms were shaking. He knew that it was an opportunity to show his charms and how loyal he was to her.

"Sabnock Sabro, Beth."

His teacher announced. He did not care about him and only wanted to go to his master's side to help her feel comfortable by becoming her make-shift wall to lean her arms.

"Azz-kun, what's with the long face? Jealous of Sabnock? But Azz-kun also is a Beth, no?"

Clara, who had been following him since the beginning, made Asmodeus flinch. He looked back to see Clara using all her brainpower to process what was happening. Out of nowhere, the cliché lightbulb that indicated that a person figured out something appeared.

Immediately forgetting what she figured out, she, too, felt excited for her playmate and watched her pick her student rank with anticipation. It was not just Clara and Asmodeus who felt excited and anticipated her rank. Everyone—even Kalego, felt either nervous or excited about what will Y/N's result be.

She stood up, brushed her skirt, and went in front to pick up hers. Out of nowhere, the Ranking Owl screeched. She tilted her head out of confusion. She begins to think about it with furrowed brows.

What is it this time? She asked. What is it this time within her that made the owl, who did not screech like that in hundreds of years? She looked at Kalego, who was looking back at her with a blank face. She did not know what he was thinking, but she felt eased when she saw his face for some reason.

Probably because he's handsome, she thought.

Not wanting to show what she was thinking, she looked away and continued to pick up her badge. She felt more confused as she felt two things. Her badge, of course, and by feeling, it seemed the other object was a ring. She looked at the Ranking Owl, whose eyes showed a glint of anticipation, making her feel another sense of déjà vu.

She took a breath and pulled out the two. She decided to look at the ring first. Kalego stood beside her to look at what she had got. He showed a face of surprise when he realized what she was holding. He was about to inspect what kind of ring she was holding and warn her not to wear it, but she wore it before he let out those words.

Kalego was right. Wearing it was a bad idea.

A shadow creature suddenly appeared and made her classmates and teacher take a step back to process what they saw. She looked at her shoulder and expressed shock when she realized what this ring was.

She turned around to see the Ranking Owl flying away as if rent's due.

What she wore without thinking was Solomon's ring, also known as the Ring of Gluttony. An object of prophecy. This is a sign that the prophesied Demon King has finally appeared.

The screeching creature made Asmodeus and Sabnock fear for Y/N's life. For Sabnock, this is an opportunity for him to repay his savior. He grinned and cracked his knuckles, thinking that this would be a piece of cake to deal with.

And only to faint when his weapon contacted the creature.

Asmodeus wanted to laugh at the puny attempt of his enemy, but he was too focused on wanting to help Y/N. He attempted to slay it,

Kalego then attempted to remove the ring, but he saw an illusion where his arm got cut off by the creature. He felt shaken and tumbled out of fear. He watched as Y/N touched the creature and fed magic how much it wanted. She kept feeding it to the point that the creature seemed to want to vomit, but it absorbed it and returned to the ring.

"Kalego-sensei, if I remember correctly, this is Solomon's ring. It might have sucked the two's magic. I can heal them, but sleep is what they need. But as for you, sir,"

She helped him stand up and made him calm with the help of the trick her granduncle taught her. With her help, Kalego felt calmer and recovered from the shock.

"Isn't that the ring that says that the Prophesied Demon King is here...?" One of her classmates asked, which made everyone look at her.

"What about your rank, Y/N?"

Knowing that she was OP herself, she looked away with her eyes real closed and slowly looked back and opened her eyes.

"Oh, fuck."

"Language, Y/N." Kalego walked to her and looked at her badge to announce what she had got.
