𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑾𝒉𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒕𝒖𝒔; 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒌 𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒊𝒓

𝑺𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝑹𝒆𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒅

Lilith looks up, and freezes. She sees some strange looking monkeys.

"Guys," She mutters.

Katniss and Finnick look at the trees. They all stand up. Lilith slowly reaches behind her, unsheathing her swords. More and more monkeys begin to surround them.

"Peeta?" Katniss says softly.

"Yeah?" He looks up from the tree he's tapping, completely unaware of what's going on.

"Walk over here slowly," Katniss says, not moving.

Peeta turns his head, and one of the monkeys growls in his face. This seems to set the other monkeys off. They growl and move closer to the tributes.

Lilith's heart pounds in her chest as the monkeys continue to get louder. These things are seriously terrifying. She grips her swords tighter and continues to whip her head around at all of them.

"Get to the beach," Katniss says.

The monkeys seem to get more and more riled up. Until suddenly, one lunges towards Katniss. Peeta uses the machete to kill it. Then, all of the other monkeys begin to attack.

Lilith immediately starts swinging on any of the monkeys that dare attack her. She slices and shoves away monkey after monkey. She sees a monkey jump on Katniss and hold her under water. Lilith is quick to make her way to her, and stab the monkey with her swords.

"We gotta get to the beach!" Peeta calls out, grabbing Katniss by the arm.

Lilith sees that Finnick is farther away from the rest of them.

"Come on, Finnick!" Lilith yells.

This gets his attention and he begins moving faster. A monkey comes out of nowhere and jumps on top of Lilith, knocking her on her back. She brings one of her legs up, and kicks the monkey off of her.

Finnick pulls Lilith from the ground and onto her feet. They run after Katniss and Peeta. Lilith trips over a branch and falls onto the beach, immediately pointing her swords at the monkeys in the tree line.

A canon booms. Lilith turns to the water. She sees Peeta holding a morphling. When she turns back to the trees, the monkeys are gone.

"Well, that was terrifying," Lilith comments to Finnick.

"Very," He agrees. "I'm gonna catch some food."

The mention of food makes Lilith realize that she's hungry. With everything going on, in only one night, she forgot about hunger.

It doesn't take Finnick long to kill a fish. The group of four eat the fish, satisfying their hunger. They eat in silence, until Peeta hands Katniss a pearl.

"Look, for you," He says, a smile appears on his face.

"Thank you," Katniss says, her own lips curling into a smile.

Lilith watches their interaction as she chews. A scream echos through the arena, causing Lilith's head to perk up.

"That's new," Peeta comments.

Everyone stands up and looks around. A giant wave begins to make its way from the other side of the arena. It gets closer to the cornucopia and a canon booms.

The wave stops at the cornucopia, and the water spreads out, causing the tide to come in high for a moment.

"Someone's here," Katniss suddenly says, getting her bow ready.

Lilith glances over at the people entering the beach. She surveys the people, seeing a very familiar face covered in red.

"Silas," Lilith mutters and begins rushing over to them.

"Johanna!" Finnick calls from behind her.

"Silas!" Lilith says louder, this time catching his attention.

Silas turns around and rushes towards Lilith. She hugs him tightly when she gets to him, not caring that he's covered in something gross.

"I was so worried about you," She says, finally feeling safe.

"It's okay. We're okay," Silas assures her.

Lilith pulls away and begins listening to Johanna rant about their experience.

"That's when the rain started. I thought it was water, but it turned out to be blood. Hot. Thick. Blood. It was coming down, we were choking on it. Stumbling around, gagging on it blind," Johanna pauses for a second before continuing. "That's when Blight hit the force field. He wasn't much, but he was from home."

Lilith gives Johanna a sympathetic look. Wiress then comes around, repeating 'tick tock' over and over.

"What's wrong with her?" Katniss asks.

"She's in shock. Dehydration isn't helping. Do you have fresh water?" Beetee says, cleaning himself off in the water.

"We can get some," Katniss assures.

Lilith watches as Wiress grabs onto Johanna.

"Just-" Johanna starts.

Lilith can see that she's trying to keep her composure. She steps closer to try and get Wiress off of Johanna.

"Listen. Stop it!" Johanna yells. She shoves Wiress off her and she lands on the ground.

"Hey! Lay off her!" Katniss yells, getting into Johanna's face.

"Hey! What are you doing?" Johanna yells back.

Lilith holds Johanna back as she continues to lunge at Katniss.

"Johanna!" Lilith yells, trying to get her to calm down.

"I got them out for you!" Johanna yells.

"Johanna, it's okay, stop," Lilith says more calmly.

"Let me go," Johanna urges. "I'm fine."

"Just, why don't you clean yourself up? Okay?" Lilith suggests.

"After everything I've done, she just-"

"Johanna."

"Fine, whatever," Johanna says, going into the water.

As everyone settles down, Lilith goes back to Silas as he washes blood out of his hair.

"Seems like you had a hell of a time," Lilith remarks to her brother.

"Yeah? You look like you've also gone through some stuff," Silas says, wiping his face with his hands.

Lilith tells him about the fog, about Mags, and about the monkeys. At every bad thing that happened, Lilith just wishes Silas was there with her, and now he is. Him being here, makes her feel a lot more secure.

Suddenly, Katniss begins yelling. It's a clock.
