People enter and exit her room all day long. The restraints are still holding her tight to the bed. She still verbally assaults anyone who tries to talk to her. She doesn't believe anything anyone says. She only believes the lies that Snow has inflicted in her head. On this particular day, a certain boy who has avoided a visit, decides to finally make one.

"I advise you to be cautious when you go in there. She's lightly sedated to help with agitation, but you should still watch what you say," The doctor tells Finnick as he waits by the door to her room. He just nods in response, not knowing what to expect, and afraid of what she'll say.

Finnick hesitantly steps into her room, looking at her closely. When she hears him enter, she doesn't shift her gaze from the wall in front of her, but her eyes slightly narrow.

"Lilith?" He says, stepping closer to his once sweet girl. She doesn't say anything. Her jaw clenches when he sits in a chair next to her bed. "Are you going to say anything?"

Still, she stays silent. But, she does turn her head to look at him. He looks tired; worried too. Something inside of her pities him, but it's not strong enough to break the hard walls the Capitol worked so hard to put up.

"I'm sorry I didn't come sooner," Finnick sighs.

"I'm not," Lilith says harshly.

Finnick flinches lightly at the harshness in her voice. Even when she hated him, she never spoke to him like this. "Please, just listen to me."

"I was left. Left in that arena to die. After everything I've done—" She abruptly stops and clenches her fists at her sides.

"I didn't want to leave you, I swear," Finnick says with a pleading tone. "By the time I was told you were still in there, it was too late. I begged them to go back for you. To get you out of there."

"It doesn't change the fact that you didn't find me before they came! You didn't care whether I was left there or not! No one did!" She suddenly yells, pulling on the restraints as she does so.

Finnick hangs his head. He wants to bring his girl back, but it's hard to hear her talk like this. "I'm so sorry."

"You betrayed me," She spits out. "Everyone did. You're all traitors."

"Lilith no—"

"Traitor!" She cuts him off. She thrashes violently against the restraints, continuing to scream. Traitor.

The doctor rushes in and ups her dose of the sedative. Lilith slowly settles, her body relaxing against the bed. Finnick watches her sadly.

"Please, Haymitch?" Finnick begs. He has just asked Haymitch to talk to Lilith. He thought it was a good idea to ask, since Haymitch was close with Silas, and she knows him.

"I don't know," Haymitch says, not convinced.

"Please?" Finnick says once more. Haymitch takes a good look at the boy, seeing how broke he is because of the state Lilith is in. Haymitch also thinks about what Silas would say if he were here. He would be asking Haymitch to do the same. To bring her back, or at least try to.

"Alright. Fine," Haymitch sighs.

They run this visit by the doctor, and she lightens Lilith's sedation. Finnick waits outside of the room, wanting to be there to listen. Haymitch takes a seat in the chair next to Lilith's bed, waiting for her to wake up.

When she groggily stirs in the bed and opens her eyes, Haymitch perks up in his seat. "Morning, sweetheart."

"Haymitch," Lilith acknowledges him sourly. She knows he was also one of the people who left her behind.

"I get it. I wouldn't be too happy to see me, either," Haymitch comments honestly.

Haymitch being here has sparked some memories. Lilith remembers when she had finished her Victory Tour, and she was at the big party in the Capitol. That's when she first met Haymitch. He was a lot more drunk then.

"No booze here I assume?" Lilith taunts Haymitch.

Haymitch smirks to himself. At least she's remembering things. "Not one drop."

"I don't know why Silas was so fond of you," Lilith sneers.

"Honestly, I don't know why, either," Haymitch says sadly. He clearly misses his friend. No matter what Haymitch did, Silas would still be on his side. "But, I do know why he was so fond of you."

Lilith clenches her jaw. Silas. Her brother. He believed in her, even when she didn't believe in herself. That's something she could use right now, someone to believe in her.

"Silas loved you. He knew the real you," Haymitch says softly.

"He would've left me. Just like everyone else," Lilith snaps.

"No. He would've fought to keep you by his side," Haymitch explains. Lilith shakes her head, not believing him. "He would've made sure you were on that ship when the arena was destroyed."

"He would've left me. Just like you. Just like Finnick. Just like everyone," Lilith says.

"Okay, I have to stop you there," Haymitch says quickly. "One: Silas would not have left you. Two: Finnick didn't leave you. He wanted to go back, but the Alliance wouldn't let him. Yes, we left you, but Finnick was not apart of that."

Lilith stares at Haymitch. Finnick didn't leave her? But, he did leave her. He left her because she can't be trusted. "He didn't come and find me. He left me."

"No. Finnick wouldn't do that. He was devastated when he found out you were left behind. He cares about you, so much," Haymitch says.

"He doesn't care about me," Lilith argues. She's trying so hard to fight the war going on in her mind. "I'm just a—"

She stops herself. She's just a what? A Peacekeeper? A Career? A mindless Capitol slave? She doesn't know what she is anymore.

"Lilith?" Haymitch says to snap her out of her head. "Finnick loves you, and he didn't leave you. That, I'm sure of."

Finnick loves her? Is that why he seemed so upset when she said all of those horrible things to him? Finnick. She remembers something Finnick had said to her before. He had promised to take her to the beach. The beach. That's why she's been so fascinated by it. Haymitch smiles to himself and gets up to leave Lilith to think it over.

"Haymitch?" Lilith says just as he's about to leave. Haymitch immediately turns around to look at her. "How do I know what's real?"

Haymitch sighs. "You have to ask."

Finnick cares about her. That's real. Finnick abandoned her in the arena. That's not real. She starts to make a list in her head.

Haymitch leaves with a content smile. This was the first time someone has visited her and it didn't end with her being sedated.
