Although Callie hated to admit it, Rafe had been right. Singh finding out where her friends were meant that the majority of the guards had left the grounds. She also hated the fact that she had agreed to work with him, the two of them sitting down and putting together a plan. It wasn't half bad either; JJ would have been proud.

"You ready?" Rafe asked her.

"Depends," Callie shrugged, tucking JJ's ring beneath her shirt. "Can I punch you for real?"

The boy smirked, rolling his eyes as he turned to the door. "Who the hell do you think you are!" he shouted.

"I already told you; stay away from me, Rafe!"

"I'm tired of your shit," he yelled back. "I'm gonna kill you, Calliope!"

Callie's face scrunched as she lowered her voice, "Really? Full naming me is a bit much, don't you think?"

"Sorry. Just trying to sell it," he whispered.

"No!" she screamed, continuing the performance. "Help! Help m-"

Just as Rafe smashed two glasses against the bathroom tiles, Callie smacked a thick book she'd found on the shelf against the bathtub. She climbed into the bathtub and laid down, hanging her leg over the side for extra effect.

She'd put her shoes back on in advance, ready to run once the next phase of their plan was in action. Rafe hid behind the door and they both waited.

"Hey, you two!" the guard shouted, rightfully hesitant to enter the room. "What'd you do?"

Eventually, they heard a click as the lock disengaged. He quietly entered the room, taking cautious steps. When he spotted Callie's leg, they could hear his grip tighten around his gun.

"What be this?" he asked as he got closer.

Just as the gun passed through the threshold to the bathroom, Rafe slammed the door. It shut on the man's arms, the guard shouting in pain and shock as he dropped the weapon.

Rafe went after the guard while Callie climbed out of the tub. As she retrieved the gun, Rafe smashed a lamp over the man's head before pressing his knee into his back. Holding the gun firmly in her hands, Callie pointed it at the man.

"Stay down!" Rafe commanded.

The guard almost chuckled, his face against the floorboards, "Huge mistake. You'll regret this."

"Yeah, whatever. Give me the phone," he muttered as he reached into the man's pocket and took it out.

Looking around the room, Callie ripped down the silk canopy from the bed and threw it to Rafe. "Tie him up. We don't need him following us."
