Jungkook was sitting haphazardly on the balcony. He was wearing a light pink t-shirt, but in the biting cold, he had no shawl or sweater on. The cold had turned his cheeks and nose deep shade of pink, his eyes were swollen and red from crying, and his strawberry-coloured lips were dry and cracked. He looked like a lifeless doll.

Today, Jungkook was busy calculating the balance of his life. What has he gained..? What has he lost..? What would life bring him next..?
This city of Daegu had taken away his cheerful childhood. Even today, he doesn't fully understand what happened to him that day in his childhood, but he knows something terrible occurred that has forever cursed his once-beautiful life. Jungkook has often asked his parents about it, but they've never told him anything, always avoiding the topic. This is why Mr.Jeon and Mrs.Jeon always guarded him closely, ensuring he never felt fear, always fulfilling his wishes and showering him with love. Jungkook was the apple of everyone's eye.
But now, once again, Daegu had turned into a dark chapter in his life. This time, not even his parents could save him. What would be the end of this? He didn't know, nor did he know what the future held for him. Would this darkness allow him to live as himself, or would it drown him in it's own toxic obsession, taking away his own light..? Jisoo was searching the entire room for Jungkook, but he was nowhere to be found. Suddenly, she saw Jungkook's silhouette on the balcony and realised he was out there. Hurrying to Jungkook's side, Jisoo noticed that he wasn't wearing any shawl or sweater, so she quickly rushed to the room to fetch one and wrapped it around Jungkook. Then she anxiously began to speak,
--" What happened, Kook..? Why are you sitting here without any warm clothes..? What if you caught a cold..?
Jisoo said as she wrapped the shawl around Jungkook more snugly. But there was no reaction from Jungkook-he remained as he was before, sitting in the same position.
Not getting any response, Jisoo tried to speak again,
--" You know, Jungkook, eomma sent some special hot chocolate snacks for you today. Come on, let's go have some.
Jisoo tried to pull Jungkook's hand, but he remained still. Seeing her brother like this, Jisoo let out a sigh and sat down beside him. From childhood, Jisoo had always been there for Jungkook whenever he felt down. She wasn't just his sister, but Jungkook's best friend too. But now, Jisoo was terrified of what the future held for Jungkook, and she felt completely helpless. She had always been able to comfort her brother before, to shield him from pain, to do anything to take away his hurt. But now, when her brother needed her the most, she has nothing to give.
