For four days, Jungkook had been completely healthy. According to the doctor, his voice had fully returned by the next day before noon. Once his throat recovered, Jungkook spoke to everyone freely, happily chattering to his heart's content. By the afternoon, Taehyung had left for work, but before leaving, he bombarded Jungkook with countless instructions: to rest properly, avoid jumping around, call him if needed, and that he’d return soon—along with plenty of other reminders. Jungkook obediently nodded like a well-behaved child, agreeing to everything.

Sitting on the living room sofa with his cheek rested on his hand, Jungkook looked bored. Jimin sat beside him while Yoongi, exhausted after his medication, was in deep sleep. Jin busily instructed the cooks in the kitchen about preparing the evening dishes. Jungkook fidgeted in frustration. Sitting idle like this, with nothing to say, was driving him mad. Jimin too seemed annoyed with the stillness, though his time was mostly consumed taking care of Yoongi—he loved his husband dearly and couldn’t go a minute without hearing or seeing him.

Two female managers stood talking to Jimin, but Jungkook was utterly uninterested, his attention wandering here and there. Despite Jimin's constant chatter, Jungkook ignored his words.

Suddenly, Namjoon descended the stairs, wearing a sweater cap and glancing repeatedly at his wristwatch. He seemed to be in quite a hurry. Jin walked up to him, handing over his bag. Jungkook stared at him for a while, thinking something, before he ran up to him with a bright smile and said cheerfully,

--" Good afternoon, Appa!

Namjoon chuckled fondly and ruffled Jungkook’s hair as he replied,

--" Good afternoon, bunny. Is there something you need?

--" Um Appa, are you going somewhere?

Jungkook asked hesitantly.

Since arriving, Jungkook had grown close to everyone in the house. He was deeply loved and adored, especially by Namjoon, who fondly called him “bunny.” However, because of Taehyung’s intimidating presence, no one spoke too openly. Since Namjoon was rarely home, his time there was always precious, and his affection toward Jungkook stood out.

Hearing Jungkook’s question, Namjoon glanced at his watch and replied,

--" Yes, bunny. I’m going to the village to check up on the families there—to observe their situation and needs.

Then, lovingly patting Jungkook’s head, he added,

--" Is there something you need, dear?

Jungkook thought for a moment before quietly murmuring,

--" Appa, can’t you go tomorrow? Please?

He lowered his head shyly. Namjoon laughed and replied,

--" What’s wrong, bunny? Do you need something? Don’t hesitate to tell me—I’m like a second father to you, am I not? Whatever my bunny wants, I’ll do my best to provide.

Hearing this, Jungkook grinned excitedly and said,

--" I just want you to stay with us today and spend time with everyone. Please!

Jungkook pleaded like a child. Namjoon paused, thought for a moment, and then said with a soft laugh,

--" Alright then. This is the first time you’ve ever asked me for anything—how could I refuse? I’ll stay home today.

He ordered a guard to cancel the trip and assured Jungkook he’d visit the village tomorrow. Looking at Jungkook’s gleeful smile, he added with a smile,

--" Happy now?

--" Very much!” Jungkook beamed.

Namjoon smiled affectionately while the entire household stared in disbelief—especially Jin. Throughout their marriage, Jin had never been able to convince his husband to stay home for a full day. Namjoon had always prioritized work. Any time he spent with the family was solely of his own volition. To everyone’s amazement, Jungkook had persuaded him with just a few words.
