❝Everyone on earth is like a moon. Each person has a bright side and a dark side that they never reveal to anyone.❞

Mark Twain.

The room was softly lit by a dim light, and the thin black curtains swayed gently in the mild breeze coming through the balcony. Heavy snowfall continued outside as Taehyung slowly shut the balcony door and moved towards the bed. Silence prevailed throughout the room, broken only by the faint ticking of the clock. It was midnight.

Wrapped in a black blanket, Jungkook lay curled up on the bed like a child, sleeping peacefully. Taehyung leaned closer to Jungkook, pressing a gentle kiss on his forehead. Jungkook had been asleep since the afternoon and hadn’t woken up, overwhelmed by the effects of a strong dose of medicine and extreme fear that had weakened him. Earlier in the evening, when Jungkook had developed a slight fever out of fear, Taehyung had immediately called a doctor, who prescribed some medicines.

Taehyung supported himself on one arm, resting it on the edge of the pillow, as he gazed intently at the sleeping figure of his "little angel." There was so much beauty, so much charm in Jungkook’s serene face. The messy, wavy hair falling across his forehead looked intoxicatingly endearing. A living enchantment surrounded Taehyung every moment, and no matter how much he tried, he could never control the spell Jungkook cast on him, nor did he want to.

With a faint smile, Taehyung tucked the loose strands of hair away from Jungkook’s forehead and gently brushed his lips against it. He softly caressed Jungkook’s face with his fingers, mesmerized by the ethereal beauty.

--" I could spend an eternity watching this moonlit face.

Taehyung murmured to himself with a smile, his voice a whisper of devotion. He grabbed his phone from the table and called a servant to bring warm milk and vegetable soup.

When the servant brought the food, Taehyung carefully sat Jungkook upright, propping a pillow behind his back to support him. Taking a spoonful of soup, he gently blew on it to cool it down before bringing it to Jungkook’s lips. Half-asleep, Jungkook scrunched his nose and furrowed his brows, making Taehyung chuckle softly. Still, Jungkook obediently ate without protest, much to Taehyung’s amusement. Watching Jungkook eat in his sleep reminded Taehyung of the times when his own father had stayed up late, feeding him gently while he dozed off as a child.

A child is always a parent’s precious treasure—their little prince or princess. Parents go above and beyond to fulfil every dream for their child, nurturing and loving them in every way. And even if they fall short, they often seek out someone in the child’s future who can carry forward that love and care, someone who will keep their beloved child happy and cherished. That’s the hope, the beautiful dream every parent harbours for their child.

After feeding Jungkook the soup and medicine, Taehyung tucked him in securely and held him close. Exhausted from the day, Taehyung soon drifted off into a deep sleep, holding the one who mattered the most to him in his arms.

Morning🦋

Jungkook blinked his sleepy eyes and looked ahead, only to freeze in fear. Taehyung was half-lying over him, his hands on either side of Jungkook’s shoulders, gazing intently at him. Seeing Taehyung this close first thing in the morning startled Jungkook. As his fear became evident, Taehyung smirked, removed his hands, and let his full weight fall onto Jungkook. Taehyung then buried his face into Jungkook's neck, his closeness making the younger shiver. Eyes squeezed shut, Jungkook froze as Taehyung rubbed his cheek along his neck, causing light scratches.
