Y/N's POV:

I slowly wake up as the sun's rays stream into my room. Stretching my arms gently, I get up and head to the dressing room, putting on a simple t-shirt, jeans, and a burgundy jacket. I then go down the stairs to the kitchen.

Arriving there, I grab a bowl and a spoon, then serve myself some cereal and milk before starting to eat while scrolling through social media. I hear footsteps slowly approaching me; I know exactly who it is. A smile forms on my face as I turn around abruptly, making him jump.

I say to him laughingly: "Well Alex, are we being fooled by our own trap?"

Alex replies in a sulky tone: "Shut up, I would have scared you if you hadn't turned around!"

I burst out laughing while my little brother gets upset all by himself, I love to annoy him. I ruffle his hair while calming down little by little, I don't want to put him in a bad mood. I take a bowl for him, then I put on my boots and head to the entrance hall to put them on. I then return to Alex, who is still eating his cereal.

Alex says neutrally: "By the way Y/N, I saw a photo of an abandoned factory on the networks. I thought it might interest you since you like urbex."

I answer, intrigued: "An abandoned factory? The one of the Playtime Company that is on the other side of the city?"

Alex answers me directly, happy: "Exactly! I always wondered what was inside. They say that all the employees disappeared overnight!"

I remain silent for a few minutes, thinking about the possibility of infiltrating inside. After all, they had said on the TV news that the building would be under high surveillance. Surely for potential buyers; after all, it is not unsanitary and was very well known. I sigh deeply then turn to him.

I tell him in a serious tone: "Alex, I already told you, you can't come with me."

Alex grumbles saying: "What! Why!? You usually say yes and now you don't want to?"

I answer him still as serious: "Who says factory says machines and potentially explosive substances, I don't want anything to happen to you."

Alex then answers me in a pleading tone: "I swear to be super careful! Please, I don't want to be alone for several days."

I sigh in defeat then tell him: "Okay, you can come with me, but if there's anything, you get out of the building. Understood?"

I see him nod gently, making me smile.

"Let's go, go prepare a backpack with everything you need, we won't go back once we leave!" I tell him, still a smile on my face.

Alex answers me directly, excited: "Yes!"

I see him running upstairs; he almost falls over because he's so excited. I laugh softly and start gathering what we'll need, because I know very well that he'll forget some things. I then take my big backpack and put everything in it: ropes, food, drinks, several flashlights and a medical kit in case we get hurt. Always be prepared for anything!

I quickly tie my hair in a high ponytail and head to the hall to wait for my little brother. I look at my battery percentage, a little anxious; if something happens and we run out of battery, no one will be able to help us. I sigh silently as Alex goes downstairs.

I ask him seriously: "Do you have everything we need? We won't be able to turn around once we get there."

He answers me in an equally serious tone: "Yes, I took everything, even the battery for our phones!"
