(Sam’s P.O.V.)
I woke up in a closet as I stood up, allowing my eyes to adjust to the light. Pushing the closet door open and stepping out, taking in my surroundings. I saw there was a huge gaping hole on the side of the wall with vines around it. I look around, I see some feathers and some burned wood, I guess that used to be a bed. I keep looking around, and I see a half-burned desk. My eyes turned back to the closet, which seemed to be the only thing in the room that isn’t destroyed. I stop for a moment, holding my head, trying to see if I remember how this all happened, but I couldn’t. It’s like my memory had been wiped clean. But just when I was about to leave the room, this huge and thick vine came smashing through the door. The vine slithers up and looks around to see if there is anything left, and then it sees me.

“Oh no,” I thought, afraid.

I try to look for a place to hide, but too late, I could already feel the vine wrap around my legs and lift me off the ground, and turn me upside down. It keeps wrapping around my body, I try to break myself free, but it’s no use, but I keep trying, I then hear faint footsteps not far.

I yell out, “I am over here.”

I start to get worried as the vine is now wrapping around my chest, making it hard to breathe. As I keep struggling to break free, I see this girl with ebony blue hair come running in. She looks up at me and then at the vine, which wraps around. Her face filled with shock and fear. As she starts to look around for anything that could help. I could feel the vine around my mouth, I feel myself unable to breathe. After a while, finally, I give in to the darkness. My last thought is that I hope that girl makes it out safe.

(Hailey’s P.O.V.)
I look around frantically for something to cut the vine with. I see a big piece of glass and grab for it, careful not to cut myself. I see that the vine has now wrapped around their mouth, and they are losing consciousness. I go up to the part of vine near the door and smash the glass against the vine. The vine suddenly starts to shiver and cower at the pain from the glass. It unwraps itself from their hostage and let them drop to the ground with thump. I watch the vine start to slither away out of the door and watch it slither out of the house from the gaping hole in the room. I look back and run over to my friend to check if they are alive. Thankfully, I could feel a pulse. I started to calm down as I stood up and decided to get started on a fire to keep our bodies warm. After getting the fire ready, I see that Rain has found a place to down next to the fire. I chuckle as I see him wagging his tail. I walk over to my friend to check on them. I noticed that they were male, he had short, messy chestnut brown hair, his eyes were closed so I can’t see what colour what they were. He had a few freckles on his cheeks. He had light skin with a little tan. He also had scars on the back of his hands. There were rips through his clothes. He was wearing a green shirt with a tree swaying in the wind, he was also wearing short blue jeans and black shoes. I sigh to myself. As I sat down, crossed-legged in a comfortable spot next to my friend, and Rain’s comes and curled himself up next to me. I start to think, I don’t even know what his name is and what if he doesn’t remember me, or trust me, all these negative thoughts started to fill my brain. Then I hear groan, I shake my head to get rid of thoughts as I see my friend start to open his eyes. And as he sits up, he starts to take in his surroundings, then his eyes land upon me, I can see that his eyes are a gorgeous bright forest green, I smile at him as his eyes widen.
