Malc— Carti's bestfriend.
They've been bestfriends for forever. Ever since, they've been platonic, it always has been.
Sometimes, Carti thinks that, what if... just what if, maybe Malc and her can have a chance.

Malc always updates Carti with whatever she's doing.
Whether it's building legos, cooking, shopping, bathing, etc.
Malc always feels the need to update Carti. She doesn't know why.
— One day, a random tuesday— Carti thinks about Malc.
About the things Malc does for her.
"You always update me, send me gifts, tell me words that i love hearing, you always spend quality time with me, i keep longing for your hugs yet you give them to me, you give me the legos you built which you don't usually do to other people since it's your collection, but you do it to me since "i'm your priced possesion by itself", you made me a playlist about songs that remind you of me, you constantly bring me food, we eventually tried kissing but it was okay since we were friends, the theme on our messenger convo is the love theme, you defend me from creeps saying i'm your girlfriend."
"Malcolm, ano ba talaga tayo?"
Carti thinks: Cause it was true. Malcolm never brung up the conversation about them dating and keeping things platonic.
Knowing Carti, if she loves the person, she won't settle being platonic forever. She wants to feel Malc's love, genuinely, not as some Platonic Friend

Malc gave Carti flowers at the end of her classes after knowing that Carti was once again her classes Dean's lister.
Malc caught everybody's attention inside the classroom.
"Hi po, Sir. Sa'n po si Ms. Ellin?" Malc asked.
"Andito... Ellin, tawag ka ni...?" The teacher said.
"Malc po. Malcolm Esteeves." Malc answered.
"Esteeves? Your papa is Charles Esteeves?" The teacher asked.
"Opo." Malc answered with a warm smile.
As Malc was talking with the teacher, Carti ran to Malc.
"Hala ka, Malc! May pa flowers ka pa oy!" Carti said, with a flattered smile.
"Deserve mo 'yan, carti." Malc said.
Carti gladfully received Malc's flowers, disregarding the things she thought about earlier.
"Jusko Malc, gusto mo ba talaga ako? Kasi ako, oo." Carti thought to herself.
"Hmm. Ms. Esteeves, since andito ka naman na, ikaw na yung kasama ni Carti for awarding later 2pm, okay?" The teacher said, with a jolly smile.
"Okay, Sir." Malc answered.
-- After the awarding ceremony, the both of them went out to eat.
While they were eating peacefully, Carti kept on thinking about the whole platonic thing she were thinking about earlier.
Out of nowhere, she gained courage to ask.
"Malc, ano ba talaga tayo?" Carti asked, dropping her fork to the plate.
"H-huh?" Malc asked.
"Come on, Malc. Don't act dumb." Carti said.
Malc was left speechless.
"We do things that couples usually do. So come on Malc, answer my question: Ano ba talaga tayo?" Carti asked.
"Carti..."
"—i also want to make us official. I've been thinking about it too, Cart. But when i hear my parents opinion about same sex relationships... they're clearly against it." Malc answers.
"Why don't you fight for it... fight for me?" Carti asks.
"I'm too scared, Carti." Malc answers.
"So, for you... it was actually casual?" Carti asks once again.
"N-no.." Malc replies, she's in the verge of tears.
"We've already made out with eachother, and it's still platonic? Fuck everything, Malc!" Carti says.
"I want it to be you, yet i'm not even sure you want it to be me." Carti adds.
