It was a heavy traffic, the road was moving slowly.
As the light finally turned green, they immediately stepped on the accelerator to get moving, but without looking properly, they accidentally ran over a woman.
5'5, brown hair, wearing sports bra and tights, and running shoes.
At first, Sylvia didn't recognize the familiar face, but after taking her to the nearest hospital, her mouth formed an 'O' shape.
"What? Si Janiel yung nasagasaan ko? Shit." Sylvia thought, expressing her empathy for Janiel's injury.
As Janiel's eyes slowly widened, the first thing she saw was Sylvia and a doctor beside her.
"S-sylvia..." Janiel says, her face looking weirded out.
Her finger slowly points at Sylvia, and she speaks again.
"Anong ginagawa mo dito?" Janiel asks, in a shouting meanor.
"I-i... nasagasaan kita." Words slowly left sylvia's mouth as she tried to answer Janiel's question.
She remembered her girlfriend whose waiting for her to come home at an exact time.
"Girlfriend?" Sylvia asked.
"Oo, Syl. Girlfriend." Janiel answered, trying to calm down while worrying about her girlfriend.
"Matitiis ka naman siguro nun ng ilang oras." She answers.
"Hindi naman kasi akong kagaya sa'yo na natitiis ang partner na naghihintay para sa'yo." Janiel whispers, thinking of a way to come home to her beloved.
"Hindi ka naman ganiyan sa'kin dati." Sylvia says.
"Anong hindi, Sylvia?" Janiel utters.
"Yes, hindi. You were never worried sick about me." Sylvia said.
"I literally risked my whole life for you while you away abroad!" Janiel shouts, her voice straining.
"Ano?" Sylvia asked curious, she was never aware.
"Pumunta ako sa'yo noong nandoon ka. Dun ka nalaman na may iba ka na palang inuuwian, kaya't nag-iba ang trato mo sa'kin." Janiel said, her hands slowly unclenching, her strenght weakening.
Sylvia gasping from Janiel's words.
"Andun ka, facing Rien as she gave you flowers and a cheek kiss."
Sylvia's eyes widened as she remembered the scene.
She did recall upon seeing a girl in a corner watching her every move with Rien. It creeped her out.
"4 years natin 'yon, Sylvia. Ngunit di mo man lang inalala yung araw na yun." Janiel added.
"Kaya, mukhang minor injuries lang naman 'to kaya aalis na ko ha. Take care, Syl." Janiel said, standing up and limping.
