—anais' birthday

It's Anais' 21st birthday, entering her legal age.

She got a birthday greeting from her beloved, Jig.

Her family planned a dinner for the girl, an all out party for their little girl.

As Anais was getting ready, Jig was there by her side: Giving her compliments, and telling her she's pretty.

"You're so pretty talaga, 'hal!" Jig says, with a wide smile.

"Bolera ka talaga, jig, hay nako!" Anais replied, with a joking tone while doing her makeup.

"It's true kaya, ana. Hay nako, mahal na mahal talaga kita." Jig says, admiring her girl.

"Anong tinitingin-tingin mo diyan, jig!" Anais says as she notices her girlfriend staring at her with admiration.

"Wala, ganda mo kasi." Jig replies, before standing up to go open the door.

"Jig! Anak! Asa'n si Anais?" Her mom asked.

"Nasa kwarto ho, nag-aayos. Tara na po, pasok po muna kayo habang nag aayos si Ana." Jig says, welcoming Anais' family inside their humble abode.

"Naku, Jig! Ang ganda ng bahay niyo!" Anais dad says, admiring the beauty of their home.

"Opo, hehe..." Jig agrees with the older.

She goes upstairs to escort her gorgeous girlfriend downstairs to meet her family.

As she opens the bedroom door, her jaw drops as she sees the girl.

The girl in full-pink, with glamorous makeup.

"A-a-anais..." Jig stutters as she calls down for the girl.

"Yup, tara na hal, baba na tayo." Anais replies, a wide grin on her face as she sees her girlfriend's reaction.

As the couple went down, they started eating with the family: sharing stories about their daily lives.

As they were eating, they were interrupted by a knock on the door.

The family went silent after hearing the knock.

"Sinong nasa pinto, ma? May hahabol pa ba?" Anais asked, confused.

Anais' mom is also confused, and told Anais to open the door for any possible visitors.

As the girl in pink stood up from the dinner table towards the door... her eyes widen as she sees the mystery guest.

Cri— her ex of 5 years.

The mysterious girl has a present in hand.

"Happy birthday... anais." The girl at the door said.

Anais couldn't help but be speechless after this occurrence. Why... why are you here all of the sudden? Anais thought.

"Titigan mo lang ba ako, anais?" Cri asks, curiously.

Anais quickly snapped out of it and let Cri inside.

The whole family gets shocked over the visitor, alongside with Jig.

"Oh, anak! Ba't napadalaw ka?" Anais' dad asks Cri, welcoming her with open arms.

Jig couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy— Anais' dad has always been against her.

Jig watched as Cri and Anais' dad engaged and bonded with eachother. She hated the sight.

As Jig sat there uncomfortable of the situation, Anais noticed.

"Hal, okay ka lang?" Anais asked, holding onto Jig's soft warm hands.

Jig just nods... She can't say anything about the situation.

After they all ate, they decided to play board games. Anais was paired with Cri while Jig was paired with Anais' uncle.

They played pinoy henyo.

"Ano ba 'to? Gamit? Pagkain? Tao? Bagay?" Anais' asked.

"Neither." Cri answered.

"Uhmm... hayop?" Anais' said.

Cri nodded.

As Anais was busy guessing multiple things, Cri yelled quietly.

"Mahal pa kita." She said.

Anais' eyes widen, her heart missing a beat.

"H-ha?" Anais asks, her face couldn't paint an emotion.

"Gusto pa rin kita, Ana." Cri says, making her way onto Anais' hands.

"No, Cri." Anais said, letting go of Cri's hand.

As Jig saw the sight of the both, she felt like her heart was about to explode.

Anais... jig said in her thoughts.

Cri kept forcing Anais to talk.

"Ano ba, Cri!!" Anais shouted, pushing Cri away.

"Anais!" Cri shouted back.

"Why do you want me back?" Anais asked, her voice breaking.

"Kasi nga, i realized i never fell out of love." Cri replied.

"You're ruining what i have now, Cri! Don't you notice?" Anais yells back, she faces Jig.

A girl whose having a breakdown as she sees the two fight.

"I wish that you could've just stayed in my memories! Yet you showed up today just to ruin things!" Anais shouted, as Cri was left speechless.

Then taking Jig's arm and running up to their bedroom.

Cri ran after them.

Anais locked the door.

"Hal..." Jig said, her voice stuttering.

"I'm sorry you had to witness that, hal. Cri always does this on my birthday, she always does." Anais says, opening her arms for Jig.

"She's just a stranger i knew everything about." Anais told Jig, reassuring her that it was still her, to her she would come home to... always.
