summertime's grace
alot can happen over a week, and many more can happen after 10 years.
my heart— it still beats for you, and will always beat for you.

Callie and Mal— two couples that met over the summer.
Callie met Mal by the carnival as she was wondering around, exploring the wide, noisy place.
Mal had her arms over a boy, twice her size.
Callie knew she had no shot in winning Mal over, but it wouldn't hurt to try.
She stared at Mal, in a ferris wheel, looking so joyful.
Callie waited until the ride ended so she could talk to Mal.
As the ride ended, Callie walked up to Mal, their faces only inches away from touching.
Callie extended her arm out to reach out to Mal.
"Hi, Callie Vergara." Callie spoke, making Mal jump.
"May i take you out?" Callie asked, her hand still stuck in the air as she waited for Mal's hand.
"We'll see. But no thank you." Mal replied, leaving Callie alone as she left with her guy friend.
Knowing Callie, she wouldn't back down that easily.
Then and there, she chased Mal as she was going into the next ride.
She herself was a daredevil. As she saw Mal walk in a ride, she hurriedly jumped on.
"Tatanong ko ulit. May i take you out?" Callie insisted, hanging loose on the ride's bars.
"GET OFF!" Mal said, but couldn't push Callie away since she might fall.
Many also told Callie to get off, but she insisted until she got a 'yes' out of Mallory's mouth.
"Say yes." Callie said, almost falling of the ride.
"OO NA! Yes, stranger. You can take me out." Mal said, forced to agree to Callie.
She only agreed to keep the girl safe.
After that day, she avoided the girl at all cost. With the actions of walking down a different way so they wouldn't bump into eachother, by not staring right into her big brown eyes, and her chubby cheeks.
She knew it'd be hard to avoid the girl, yet she was up for a challenge.
She walked home alone after going out, completely the thought of Callie slipped her mind, as she forgot to walk away.
Suddenly, she bumped into Callie, who wasn't bugging her which was weird.
Callie had her arm around a girl in red.
She overheard their conversation, "Diba siya 'yung babae na ginugulo mo? lapitan mo na." the girl said.
"Ayaw ko, max. Baka ayaw niya nang ginugulo ko siya." Callie replied, as she spoke, her eyes remained on Mal.
Mal reciprocated her eye contact, staring back.
"Oh? Tinitingin tingin mo, Cal? Akala ko ba susuko na?" Max said, looking back at Callie.
Mal heard, then her heart suddenly changed.
She wanted to accept Callie's offer, and be with her.
So then, as Max and Callie were about to split ways, she spoke.
"Stranger. Tara dito." Mal said, there was an awkward silence, but Callie went.
"Okay..." Callie responded, going towards Mal as she left Max to walk home.
