TW: cursing, slight arguing

Maya drove pretty fast. It had me scared since the speed made me more anxious and on edge thinking that there was a reason to get home quick. I kept telling myself to shut up and David is an amazing father and I'm such a dick for thinking he would hurt Diana,ever. We arrived and Maya turned off the car. I ran towards the front doors (almost slipping) and took the backing of my phone off and grabbed the spare key and unlocked the doors. The curtains were slightly open. I heard the crunch in the snow- "Stay outside. Please." I say to Maya. She looked at me a bit surprised, "Yeah.. Ill be out here." I smiled and creak open the big door "yeah."
I braced myself as I walked into the kitchen and heard the TV on. "Who's that?" I heard a voice. David walks towards the kitchen and looks up from his phone. "Oh!" he chuckled. I waved and looked around and pointed towards the couch, "Diana?" I mouthed. He nodded and motioned me to go back into the main entrance. We walked quietly and I took off my jacket, It was weird seeing him put together. i'm just happy he's not extremely hung over and that Diana was awake and safe with him.
"Elena i'm sorry." David muttered. "About what?" I asked to test his abilities. He tried to grab my hands. "Elena.." I raise an eyebrow, "The next few words I'm going to say are crazy but I only want you to reply with one." ,Ohh crap. Oh no. I look around and laugh nervously. "Maya's outside by the wa-" , "Elena marry me." He said with the straightest face, "So THAT'S the best apology you could think of? Marry me?" My voice got louder and I turned to see if Diana was peeking. But she wasn't in the couch anymore, she had moved beside it and peeked her head to look into the corridor, I looked at David and gave a loud sigh. "Okay look. I'm going to go to breakfast with Maya I swear I only came to check if Di was okay. I'm-" I looked over once more at Diana ,"I'm going to get her dressed and possibly spend the day with her. And Diana with" David's face dropped and he crossed his arms. "Whatever you want Elena." he scolded. I shrugged and looked down and smiled at Diana as a way to reassure her. "Good morning princess!" She grinned, "Hi mommy!" I kissed her head and picked her up, "How'd you sleep?" , "Good, papa woke me up and let me watch a movie." I laughed and set her down and pulled out my phone ,"You can come in. " I text. A light tug was felt on my pants and Diana was smiling up at me, "Ihop? I heard breakfast" I nod. "Cmon baby lets pick out an outfit. It's cold so lets see.." I ran through the dresses, "Frio?" She said. "Si Mija esta Frio." I laughed.
Maya walked into the house with caution. She wiped her shoes and walked down the hall towards Diana's door and leaned against it, "So...She's coming with?" Elena nodded and walked closer to Maya, "David needs time to be alone." She mutters. The curly head continues to help her daughter with her jacket and then picks her up. "You ready?" She asks. Diana nods and smiles wide. She reaches out for Maya and Maya grabs her lifting her over her shoulders. Elena follows the both outside the room and to the front door, barely glancing at David as he stands watching this. He shakes his head at Elena and motions her to come towards him. Maya looks back and Elena assured her to wait in the car. "One minute." She mouths walking over to David.
"Hm?" , "You didn't answer my question." David sighs. Elena could only rub the temple of her forehead, "David please.. Please don't. Our relationship is clearly not okay right now." she begged. "Seriously? Not okay? So why not try to fix it like I am."
Elena could only look straight...She honestly couldn't believe what David had just said. "Really? Really? Really?" David took a step back, "What? What did I say?" Elena raised her voice and stepped closer, "You just told me to put in effort. Like that's not what I've been doing the second we got together. It's a two way street and I'm so alone in this relationship.", "Alone? Give me an example of when I wasn't at you're hip helping with Diana or loving you." Elena took a deep sigh. "David. The second a friend of yours ask to hang out you leave." He hides his head in his hands. "Maybe consider i'm fucking stressed? Dahlia's still in the hospital last time I checked. I haven't seen her in two days and her surgeries tomorrow, oh right. Of course you didn't fucking know cause you were getting fingered by that lesbo!" He yelled at the top of his lungs at the last part. Elena stared at him with her mouth slightly opened. "Wow." She turned on her heels and started to walk out. "Ill be back tonight." was all she said quietly closing the doors behind her.
Hey author here Otra vez, so I might like make chapters shorter. Like I said in the very beginning I struggle with long,sloppy and brain mush. Like this chapter I want it to mean something, and I do believe it adds to the story just some things don't need to be said and neither does a chapter have to be 1000 words long to make me feel like its good. But neither is it going to be short- all I know is that in order for me to WANT to write and WANT to not have this feel like homework, I wont overwork my ass for 1000 words.
