Elena peeked into the bedroom yelling- "Amor hurry up!" David completely rushed while putting on his shoes and almost fell running out the bedroom's door's. "Wild to me you take longer to get ready.." Elena smiled. "well I just gotta make sure I chose the right shoes." He chuckled. He wore a blue T shirt with black joggers and green Jordans. It reminded Elena of her brother. She looked down at David's poorly matched outfit and scoffed, "Next time ask me.." David looked over in defeat- "I think they were the right decision." He responded huffing out his chest- proud of himself. David grabbed their jackets and they walked into the garage and made their way to breakfast.
They arrived and Elise waved at their car as she spotted the couple. "Hurry up!" Elena rushed David. He parked the car and Elena ran out to hug Elise- "Hi!!" They swayed, "Hi Elena! I missed you so much," Elena kissed the top of her friends head "Missed you too. I'm going to grab David real quick go on inside" Elise nodded and Elena held her hand out for David as he walked out the car door. "Hmm?" He asked confused as to why she waited for him. Elena kissed him passionately for a second- "what's that for?" David asked smiling. "Ah I just feel like I'm going to be in the mood when we get home." She laughed. He raised his eyebrows, "For what exactly?" The curlyhead girl ran her fingers through his hair "You'll see.." She sang. They both kissed one more time before walking into the building. Elena noticed the table with only Gianna and Elise with her boyfriend Mikey and they all greeted each other.
"where's Maya?" Elena asked. "Shitter." Gianna responded sitting down aswell. Elena chuckled and leaned on David's shoulder, "watcha gonna get?" , "Probably an omlette- you?" She clicked her tongue, "Skillet is calling my name." Maya walked over to the table and sat down by Gianna. "Hey Maya" Elena smiled and shook hands with her- David did the same and did that hug thing after shaking hands (AN: idk what its called😭)
Gianna looked over at Maya- "How was the shit?" she shoved her, "Ay ay ay not here." Gianna laughed and looked over at Elena. "So How was you two's new year?" she immediately turned red- "Ended it with a damn good bang." Elise's eyes widened like everyone else's at the table and Mikey Raised his glass of water- "Here's to baby #2!" He joked. David looked over at him and shook his head, "Well that's what were hoping for!" Elena smacked her lips- "Yeah..That's all you." She scoffed patting his back. A waitress came over and took everyone's order for drinks.
The break feast was going well so far. Nor Maya or Elena brought up last night so it was to believe they signed a silent contract where it was all water under the bridge. Maya even talked to David a bit about his upcoming appointment- "wait David what tattoo are you even getting?" Mikey, Elise's boyfriend, asked. "A very small stick figurine Di drew of herself with her signature." Elena rolled her eyes, "Yet he's still hesitant to get my eye's tattooed." She pointed at her eyes and blinked- David shoved Elena's shoulder playfully, "You don't think you're name on my neck is enough?" he chuckled referring to Her name on his neck. They all laughed and David looked down at his phone. "what's wrong?" Maya asked as His facial expression changed and he looked at everyone at the table before he stood up, "hold on. Mom's calling" David walked back outside having a tight grip on his phone. Elena kept her eyes on him through the windows. "You alright?" Gianna whispered holding her arm as Elena fiddled with her rings. "I..yeah. I'm fine." She smiled turning back to look at everyone. "I'm sure its nothing big." Elise comfortly said- "Yeah I know." Elena responded, "Hopefully it's nothing bad." Everyone nodded and went back to their normal conversations.
I really wanted to go out there with David. When his mom calls it's never good- which explains why he looked not too happy. I bounced my leg and pulled out my phone to check the time- "Hey Elena-" I looked to the side and Maya sat in David's seat, "can we talk?" I put my phone down. "yeah. About what." Okay Elena a little tone there. Watch it. "Last night." She said. I looked back over at David- "Alright I'm listening." (I really wasn't.)
To be honest I didn't want to listen to Maya's apology. It was unnecessary to me now- We obviously are okay if we were able to greet each other and sit at the same table. I tuned back into reality once her hand waved frantically Infront of my face, "Elena? Are you listening?" Maya asked, I tapped her thigh, "No. I'll be back." I stood up and sped walked to outside the restaurant once I saw David begin to pace back and forth. "Today? With Diana?" I watched him. His face let out a small smile. "Oh thank God." He looked down at me, "I'll call you back mom." I placed my hand on his shoulder, "amor..Everything alright?"
"Dahlia got into an accident. But thankfully Diana was at home." He wrapped his arm around my shoulder, "Dahlia is alright for now." He explained. I sniffled, "What about Diana? Who was watching her?"
"Baby, Dahlia thought it was a quick stop. Diana was still asleep once my brother drove by to watch her; She was only alone for a hour max." He consulted. I felt a few more tears stream down my face and I hugged David. "When can we see Dahlia?" I asked between breaths. He kissed my forehead- "Tomorrow. That's as soon as we can. Let my mom see her first, yeah?" He nodded and I nodded back, "Then can we go see Diana? I need her." He grabbed my hand. "Of course." he muttered. We walked to the car and I realized- "Let me just text Elise ..I'll Venmo her $20 for the inconvenience." We sat down and David input Dahlia's home address into the GPS. "Awh shit.." I face palmed, "what?" David asked, "Maya was trying to apologize and I just left." I admit. "Well I mean something came up big deal- she'll understand." I sighed, "You're right." I put my phone down and we made our way to Dahlia's home.
