The once familiar surroundings of the lair, still in ruins as everything was in rubble and shambles.

The usual sounds of fun and mischief that echoed off the walls was now replaced by an eerie silence, broken only by the occasional drip of water echoing throughout the destroyed tunnels.

The turtles stood amongst the debris, their hearts heavy as they looked at the destruction of their home.

But they were quick to push their focus to their father as they all huddled around him.

“Okay, the mutagen is now entering his blood stream.” Donnie mumbled as he pulled the needle out of Splinter's arm.

“Master Splinter?”

“Nothing’s happening.” Raph pointed out as they all looked down at him.

“Why isn’t it working yet?” Mikey asked concern while Splinter started moving his head in Donnies hand.

“Mikey… Mikey come closer.” Splinter whispered as Mikey bent down, putting his hand next to his ear as Splinter spoke to him.

“What did he say? What did he say?” Leo asked, looking at his brother while Splinter slowly opened his eyes.

“He said, ‘please get your knee off my chest’.” Mikey said as the brothers laughed in relief.

“Sensei!” They cheered as they smiled down at Splinter.

“You’re alive!”

“It worked.”

“I’m sorry, this was all my fault.” Leo started looking down sadly.

“You were right, we weren’t ready.” Raph finished while Splinter shook his head looking up at them.

“No, it was I who wasn’t ready to let you go. All you needed was to discover that your true power lies in believing in one another.” Splinter said, making all the brothers share a look.

Mikey looked with widened eyes before his hands went up to his head making exploding hand motions.

Some time has passed since the Foot Clan's threat on New York City, forever leaving a lasting impact on everyone.

Despite the chaos, the casualties were kept to a minimum. The majority of the people at the scene were fortunate to have only suffered from minor injuries from the building coming down. Some cuts, bruises, and scrapes.

But those with more serious injuries were immediately transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

For weeks every News channel and reporters were going on about the attack, it even got in the newspaper. Reaching people even further outside the city.

Shredder and Sacks were arrested and sent to jail, going behind bars for their crimes. But despite the city’s initial relief, the Foot Clan remnants remained elusive, slipping back into the shadows. And waiting for the right moment to strike again. Rumors of few Foot Clan sightings around the city as they lurked in the dark corners of the city.

The clear, brittle cold night sky was above you as everything finally felt like it was going back to normal. Well, as normal as it could be.

Lights lit up the city, shielding the stars away. While horns and sirens were heard day and night, not much different for the city that never sleeps.

You and April were currently walking side by side in an abandoned parking lot. You carrying your skateboard while April pushed her bike at her side.

A little ahead of you, you could see Vernon leaning against the front of a car. He was released from the hospital a few days prior, and is wearing a cast and arm brace.
