The Love in Between

Chapter 2

In the end,I managed to persuade them that I can do this alone but ended up revealing that I saw a boy took it.I've been studying human life style since I was young so I'm thankful that it will come in handy this time.I never have been the type to be caged inside the castle so my greatest secret is sneaking out and returning before anyone finds out.In fact,this will not be the first time that I will visit the human world or the first time that I've used legs.I've done it many times but I'd only stroll around the beach.I didn't enter or took a step on their street or stores,it would take too much time if my curiosity got over me and someone will find that I was gone.I packed what I would need and some priceless pearls to exchange for money before swimming to the gate where I will meet Urn who will accompany me to the surface.

"Oh look.The dear princess is leaving.Did daddy send you away?"I rolled my eyes and turned around to face my sisters.

"What do you want?"I'm used to this confrontations since I always encounter this everyday.

"Is it wrong to send our dear sister away?"They snickered.

"Sorry but I'm too busy carrying out the order that your daddy gave me since he can't trust any of you to do it."I blankly said then swam away.I can feel their glare following me.

Since I was named heir,that's where they started bullying me but back then I'd just ignore them and cry in my room secretly,by the time that I'm used to it,I realized that no one will help me so I stood up for myself.They have the weakness of catching the attention of the king so I always use that against them when in truth was,I don't even care what the king thought of me anymore,I stopped trying to grab my parents attention when I was 4.

"My lady,I have gone ahead and prepared your stay in the human world."Urn said when we were swimming up.I had forgotten that Urn would sometimes go to the human world as well but for business.

"Where would that be?"

"I have enrolled you in a private high school,My Lady.You'll be living in a dorm.I apologize but the genders are not separated,you'd be living in the same roof as human boys.I pray that you'd be safe but it's the closest and fastest way that I can arrange."

"That's okay Urn.You never know,I might find the boy there."We hit the surface but we were in a cave.Urn pointed to a bag hidden beside the entrance and exit of the cave.

"And My Lady,I also registered you under Luna Sirene.I also opened an account under that name.A bank book and a credit card is in the bag.There is also a dress,sandal and a map.For your other clothes and accessories,they will all be found at your new residence.If you want,My Lady,I can accompany you until you reach the school."

"No thank you Urn but I'll do this on my own."Urn bowed then disappeared.Urn sometimes amazes me with his quickness.

I laid the bag that I brought on the stone then made a circular motion with my finger to create a tornado around my tail.The tornado consumed my lower body then disappeared,my tail was gone and I can only see legs.It would have been cool if I transformed wearing clothes though.I got out of the water and headed to the bag that Urn pointed.I frowned when I saw the dress that Urn bought.A silk one-sleeve dress and then a wedge sandal.I saw it on one of the fashion magazines that Urn brought back,the magazines undergo some spells so that they won't get wet underwater.Anyway,I have no choice but to wear it since I don't have anything else to wear.

I stashed the bag that I brought from the palace in the bag that Urn bought then set off while carrying the wedge sandal,it's not easy for me to walk in shoes with heels and the map which was perfectly detailed.I could have found the school in less than an hour but the street is fascinating me and I went in a few stores to look at things before I arrived at the school.I'm guessing that I would be a transferee then.I smiled at a girl who looked at my feet since I really didn't put on my sandal before approaching the gate.

"May I help you?"The guy in a blue uniform asked when I approached the gate.

"I'm Luna...Sirene,I'm a new student here."The guy nodded.

"Follow me then."The gate opened then he led me in.

I observed that this school is rather big.The buildings are getting taller and taller that I think that they will reach the sky.We walked for a while then finally entered in one of the buildings.The guard led me to what I recognize as an elevator and pressed 3.An awkward silence filled the elevator before the doors opened.We stopped in front of a door,341 then he handed me a key.

"Due to special exception,you'd be living without a roommate.You're lucky."He grinned,winked then left.

Urn must have bribed someone to get me this room.The room is like a transparent room.The kitchen,living room and bedroom are all separated with glass and sliding doors.Only the bathroom and the closet have solid walls so basically,in any room except for the closet and bathroom,that you go,you can see the other rooms.The window with a seat also opens up to a view of a garden.I wonder how long am I going to stay here.I heard a knock on the door.

"Hi,I'm one of the boarders across your room.I'm Jean."A girl with brown hair and amber eyes cheerfully greeted when I opened the door.She looks like the character in the books whom humans called nerds with her oversize glasses and baggy clothes.

"I'm Luna.Would you like to come in?"She nodded and I stepped aside."I can't serve you anything since I only just arrived."

"That's okay.I brought a cake."That's when I noticed that she was holding a small box.I smiled in excitement,this is my first time eating human food.

I went to the kitchen to grab plates,spoons then a knife and out of curiosity,I also opened the fridge and was surprised when it was full,I guess Urn also did this.I grabbed two cans of Mountain Dew,as written on the label,along with the plates then returned to the living room.Jean expertly sliced the cake then served it.My first bite of it and my taste buds are all dancing,tastes like heaven.

"Wow,this is so good."I noticed that Jean beamed.

"That's the first time anyone has ever said that my cake is good since I entered school."

"You made this?Wow.Doesn't your friends compliment you?"She stopped eating.

"I don't have any friends and my roommate eventually belongs to the popular group so she doesn't talk to me.You should ignore me tomorrow too if you don't want to be called a freak like me.You're beautiful so you'd belong to the popular group for sure."I looked at her,she has the same eyes like me,blank empty ones.
