Nick seemed pretty proud of himself after.
All you could do was laugh. He realized how miserable you were without Alexander, so obviously he took matters into his own hands. With a pat on the shoulder, he'd bid goodbye as Alexander took you home. He'd kept one hand on the wheel and the other interlocked with your hand.
It was sweet.
When you finally made it home, he encouraged you to have a shower while he did the same. He'd just gotten back from a flight overseas, so it was the least that you could do.
"When you're out of the shower I'll make you a cup of tea."
You smiled, leaving a kiss on his cheek as you nodded gratefully, heading for your bedroom as Alexander made it to the guest room.
The second the water touched your skin, your mind felt like it had drifted away. Running through all that happened. You hadn't realized how long you'd been in there until you heard his call.
"(Y/N)."
The door opens slowly and you pause when he steps through. You're still in your towel and he looks a bit surprised.
"I apologize, you were in there for a while. "
He'd obviously gotten a bit worried. From his change in attire and slightly damp hair, it's clear he'd gotten out of the shower not too long ago as well. You feel sort of like a stranger in your own home. Whenever Alexander came, he usually spent the night in your room. But tonight he'll be staying in the guest room. You know it's just to ensure that you're comfortable.
"Sorry, I guess I kind of drifted off in there."
"I understand, if you need anything please let me know."
He turns to leave and you take a step.
"You."
He pauses.
"Pardon?"
You grip at the front of your towel.
"I..I need you."
The recognition slowly flashes across his eyes, then something else completely. You don't really process him moving until he's right in front of you. He doesn't seem to care that you're still dripping wet and it's starting to seep into his clothing. His lips are insistent and you hold on, panting with every hurried kiss.
You start grabbing at his t-shirt, hand slipping under the fabric. The warmth of skin and muscle is like heaven. Alexander pulls back and you're left almost gasping at how labored your breathing is.
He pulls his shirt right over his head. All you can do is stare. You've never seen him without a shirt on. Before he had been scared for obvious reasons. But now he looks sure, ready and you feel that pleasant twist in your gut. His pants meet the same fate, and when he's free of all his garments, you swallow. The subtle scent of body wash still lingers in the air. Yours and his.
This time when he approaches, it's much slower. Your breathing is a bit shallow, and his hands move to your arms. He glides the back of his palms down your arms, relishing in the heat your body gives off. When his hands trail back up, it moves to the knot of your towel. He pulls it out so carefully, dropping it on the floor.
You're bare.
He leans down, another soft kiss as he backs you up. You take careful steps back. When you feel the bottom of the mattress against your calf, he guides you down softly. Your body sinks into the mattress, and just like that, it feels like you both can no longer wait. This kiss is much deeper, more demanding. You hold him to your body, clouded by the feel of him pressed so tightly against you. No clothes to separate.
