Chapter 19

"Choi Soobin?" Minju said. Soobin let out an awkward chuckle. "Heyyy Minju." "What are you doing with Y/N?" "Oh we just wanted to hang out today sooo." "I didn't know you guys were friends." She smiled. I laughed awkwardly "No, we are." Jake then spoke up. "I thought you said you were going to study this weekend. I froze when I heard his words. Ugh he is right. I looked down at the ground to avoid eye contact with him and played with my fingers. "I didn't feel like studying I guess." I mumbled. "So are you guys on a date or-" "No!" Soobin and I said in unison interpreting Minju. She laughed. "I'm just kidding,well now that you guys are here why don't you join us." Before I could say anything Soobin pulled me into the store. We both ordered mint chocolate ice-creams and took a seat by their table. Soobin practically forced me to sit next to Jake which made me even more anxious. My gaze turned to Jake and he was already looking at me he smiled at me and I quickly looked away feeling my cheeks heat up into a bright red. Minju and Soobin were in the middle of a conversation with each other while Jake and I sat in silence avoiding eye contact with each other I started to eat my ice-cream trying to ignore the fact that Jake was sitting next to me. I felt less nervous because I was focusing on my ice-cream. I fixed my gaze on Jake and I parted my lips. "What is something wrong?" "Uhm t-there is something on your face." He stuttered. My cheeks heated up and I quickly looked away trying to find the spot that my face must have been messed up with ice-cream. "Uh, no it's on your nose." I looked up at him after hearing what he said. Oh gosh this is so freaking embarrassing."Oh uh-" I froze when Jake grabbed a napkin and whipped my nose with it gently he looked down at the ground as his cheeks heated up, it had completely caught me off guard so I looked down as well trying not to squeal. My heart raced and I tried my best to not form a smile on my face as the moment replayed in my head constantly like a broken record. Jake then spoke up "Uh..,so how is your ice-cream?" "I-it's good." I chuckled anxiously. Jake nodded and it became silent between us again. I wanted the ground to just suck me up. I shifted my gaze to Soobin and he had the biggest smirk on his face as he stared at us. Oh how I would absolutely love to slap you right now Choi Soobin. Minju sighed and put her phone down on the table. "Do you guys wanna walk around?" My face lit up and I nodded excitedly. Minju smiled "Alright let's go!"

We were all walking beside each other in the mall. Soobin suddenly nudged my shoulder and he whispered in my ear. "Hey, I should take Minju somewhere so you and Jake can be alone." I looked up at him and he winked at me. I shook my head and smacked his arm. He groaned softly and pulled my hair which made me groan as well. "Come on I'm trying to help you with your little crush of yours." He whispered. I looked at him and sighed I hated to admit it but it didn't sound like the worst idea. "Ugh fine." I whispered to him. He smirked and let out a loud fake cough. "Uhm,Minju I actually saw this cool anime figure in one of the stores the other day." "What, really?!" "Yeah of course, let me show you." Soobin grabbed her wrist and ran away with her. I didn't expect that to work at all,it seemed like Minju had a liking for anime. They were soon out of our sight and I looked up at Jake as he sighed. I immediately regretted my decision because it got awkward quickly. I sighed in disbelief. Why did I think this would be a good idea.. Jake and I continued to walk in silence for a while. "So-" we both said in unison. We laughed awkwardly, "You can go first." I said politely. Jake smiled. "So are you ready for exams next week?" "Uh I hope so." Jake giggled and patted my head. "What about you, are you ready?" "I guess so." I nodded as we both walked at the same pace. I felt my heart flutter when our hands slightly brushed against each other. Jake then spoke up "Are you hungry?"

I was sitting across from Jake as we both were inside a ramen restaurant. I looked at my big bowl of ramen it smelled really good Jake smiled. "Let's enjoy this meal." He said and opened a can of soda. I nodded and smiled back. "Would you like a soda as well?" He offered. I hummed in response and he passed a soda to me. My eyes then landed on a fimillar bracelet on his wrist. Jake looked up at me  as he noticed where my eyes had landed. He smiled. "Oh the bracelet, uh a friend gave it to me." Oh trust me I know. I sighed "I wanted to wear it today, because it would be rude if I never wear it when it was gifted to me you know." I nodded. "It's pretty." Jake smiled and took a sip of his soda. There's no need to over think this is just a friendship bracelet and he went out with Minju today so she would  probably have expected him to wear it anyway because it's a friendship bracelet nothing else. I was interrupted by my thoughts when Jake spoke up. "Are you okay?" "Ah, yea,sorry." I smiled. "Are you looking forward to summer break?" Jake asked. "Oh of course!" "Maybe you could spend summer break with me?" I almost chocked on my ramen after hearing his words. My cheeks stared to heat up and I looked down at the floor. "Uh, with e-everyone else o-of course!" He chuckled awkwardly. I nodded "Y-yea,that would be fun." I turned my phone on hoping to receive a text from Soobin but my phone was completely blank. Maybe if I finish my ramen really quickly the quicker we will be out of here. Suddenly I heard my phone buzzing it was Soobin and he was calling me. I answered the phone quickly. "Soobin?" "Hey Y/N where are you guys? , we are back from the store." "We're at the restaurant near the book store." "Ahhh, I see ok we will be there soon." I whispered a thank you before ending the call. "What did he say?" Jake asked while chewing his food. "Oh , he said there coming here to fetch us." Jake nodded "We should finish up then." I nodded while grabbing my chop sticks. I watched how Jake ate the ramen. He must of been really hungry. I smiled to myself. "Are you done smiling at me now?" He chuckled. How the hell did he know. I chocked as I heard him and didn't notice that I had bumped the the ramen which had now spilt all over my clothes. Jake immediately stood up. "Are you okay?" He grabbed my hand to stand up and took his jacket off and wrapped it around my waist. "But..your jacket it will get all dirty." "I care about you a lot more than a jacket Y/N." He said sounding firm. I looked up at him feeling shocked at what he had said. He looked up after realising what he had said and blushed slightly. He quickly called the waiter to help clean up the mess as I stood there replaying his words in my head , my cheeks and ears heated up and I tried to snap out of it. "Let's go to the restroom." Jake said but before I could react or even look at him he grabbed my hand and we walked to the restaurants restroom together with our hands interlinked. Jake let go of my hand. "I'll take care of everything just wait outside the bathroom I promise I won't take to long." I nodded feeling flustered about the whole situation He...held my hand

{Jake's POV:}
I made my way to the contour and handled the bill I gave the waiter a tip for helping with cleaning up. As soon as I was done I ran to the nearest clothing store and looked in the ladies selection of clothes. I strolled through the store trying to find something. I searched and let out a heavy sigh, I couldn't find anything. I was about to the leave until a black dress caught my eye. It was perfect. It was a causal dress that was fitted on the waist with a wavy bottom,it was short but the perfect length. I went over to the dress and looked at the sizes. Ah shit I don't know her size. I picked up a few sizes and stared at them. Maybe she's an XS? Or maybe a S...? I looked at the time on my watch and sighed. Ugh I'll just take a medium. I bought the dress as quick as possible and ran into the restaurant making my way outside the restroom. And there I saw her waiting for me like I told her. She looked up at me with a big smile on her face. "Your back!" She exclaimed. I couldn't help but chuckle. She looks so cute when she gets excited. "Yeah here's your new pair of clothes I hope it fits but we'll only know when you put it on." I smiled. She smiled back and I tried my very best to not blush when she smiled back at me. She then thanked me and went inside the restroom to change.

{Y/N's POV:}
I was done changing and looked at myself in the mirror. The dress was so beautiful. I stared at myself in awe. Its gorgeous and it fits my figure perfectly. The dress looked so pretty and it was also super comfortable. I smiled at the thought that Jake had bought this for me. Jake has a pretty good selection in clothes. I grabbed my bag with my separate clothes inside and left the restroom. As I left the bathroom I saw Soobin, Minju and Jake all waiting for me in the restaurant. Jake instantly stood up when our eyes met. He smiled at me when his eye landed on the dress. "You look p-pretty." He said. I blushed and smiled while thanking him.

We were all walking home together and we all arrived at my place to drop me off. I hugged them all goodbye and before I went inside Soobin mouthed. "Your calling me tonight and telling me everything." He winked and I tried not to laugh right there and waved to them before they were out of my sight. Huh what I day. I smiled and entered my house.
