Chapter 15

I made my way back to the cafeteria with my book. As I reached the cafeteria I saw the rest laughing together without me. I went over and took my seat next to Niki again. Everyone then stopped laughing and looked at me as I sat down and opened my book and began to read it. I then looked up confused at them because it grew very quiet once I had arrived. "What, should I leave or what, stop looking at me as if I'm some stranger here" I said coldly and continued to read my book.They all then looked away and carried on talking as if I wasn't there. Minju then kicked my leg lightly. I looked up and she gave me a "Should we ask them now look." I sighed and spoke up. "Hey guys, Minju was wondering if we could all have a study group together." Minju then nodded and smiled. "It would be fun and plus it would be an easier way to study." She grinned. "Mm, I like the idea." Heesung added. Jake and Niki nodded too. "Great!, I know a spot I'll take you guys there after school today" she chuckled. "Sounds good" Niki replied.

I was packing my bag in the locker rooms, getting ready to leave school and heard Niki walk in. It was silent as we both closed our lockers. "Y/n.." I turned to him and looked straight into his eyes. "Mm, what's up?" I said with a straight face. "Are you sure you're okay" he asked. "Yea.., why wouldn't I be" "You just seem to be off from your usual self today" My heart dropped when I heard his words. I didn't know why I was feeling so annoyed with Minju, I didn't want to be mad at her because she didn't do anything wrong to me or anything to make me upset. But, I still felt a little sense of anger every time she was with Jake. I knew I didn't have the right to feel that way so I tried not to think much about it. Jake can talk to Minju because they are just friends, Just because he is talking to the opposite gender doesn't
mean anything was going on between them. I shouldn't be selfish and rude about this situation. But sometimes I really couldn't help it. I'm trying to pull myself together. "Y/n..?" I then looked up in shock. "Uhm, yeah sorry, no you don't have to worry Niki I'm good, I guess I'm just really tired today." Niki then slowly came closer I then backed up until my body was against my locker making it nowhere to go. He then bent down for our faces to be on the same level. I looked at him in confusion. He then put his hand on my cheek and gave me a worried look. "I'm just worried about you Y/n, you know you can tell me anything if something is wrong" I didn't answer him as we stayed in that position and looked into his eyes, he was looking at me in a way he has never before it made me feel a little surprised and nervous. I pushed him away slowly. "Y..You don't have to be worried I'm fine I promise." "Why are you pushing me away, are you nervous?" "W..what, Niki what are you talking about." What was he doing and why was he acting like this. Niki then chuckled and grabbed my hand. He then put his hand on my waist and pulled me closer into his embrace. He then leaned down and put my head on his chest as he hugged me. "Niki what are you doin-" "If your feeling down I thought I should give you a hug." He then rested his head on my neck as he hugged me tight. I then stood there in disbelief and felt confused, my heart was racing and I felt butterflies in my stomach  for some reason. He is my best friend I shouldn't be feeling butterflies around him.

Niki and I then headed to meet up with the rest at the entrance of school in silence I didn't even look at him as we walked together. But then Niki grabbed my bag and pulled me closer to him making our arms touch slightly. I looked up at him and he smiled down at me. I blushed as he then grabbed my hand and started to run with me to the entrance as the others waited for us. We then stopped and tried caught our breath. "You guys ready to go?" Minju asked. Niki and I nodded as we all started to walk together. I then suddenly noticed that Niki was still holding my hand I then slowly let go and walked faster to walk beside Minju. I  grabbed Minju's arm and locked her arm with mine while we walked.

{Niki's pov}
Y/n and I were walking to the entrance of school together. I couldn't stop looking at her because she looked so flawless as she walked beside me. I reached my hand for her bag strap so I could pull her closer to me. Once our arms touched my heart froze and felt warm from her presence. Her scent was a hint of Rose's and a calm summer's day her hair looked soft and slickly as the sunlight reached it. I wanted to just kiss her at that very moment. I had to make a move so without thinking I grabbed her hand and ran towards the group her hands felt so soft and warm I could hold it all day.

{Jake's POV}
Heesung, Minju and I were at the school entrance waiting for Niki and Y/n to get going for our study group. We were waiting for a while and I felt a bit bothered. Why were they both taking so long. Eventually I saw both of them walking towards us. I felt relived because we could finally leave. I saw Niki pull Y/n closer to him and I wondered why he had done that Y/n looked quite flustered even though it was Niki and not some random guy. Did something happen between them earlier while we were waiting I thought to myself. Niki then grabbed her hand and they started running together. I don't know why I didn't like the fact that they were still holding hands even after they had reached us. I just looked at Niki and Y/n's hands constantly.
