Gun let out a deep sigh as he scrolled through his phone, bored out of his mind. He was parked outside your house, waiting for what felt like hours. You should've been home by now, but knowing you, you'd probably spotted him lurking and decided to take a detour.

As he swiped through yet another mobile game, proudly winning his third level in a row, a soft knock on the window startled him so much he nearly dropped his phone. "What the—" he started, but the words died in his throat as he saw you collapse to the ground.

"Seriously?" he muttered in disbelief, rushing out of the car. Blood stained your clothes, and your face was so pale you could've been auditioning for a zombie movie.

For a second, Gun considered calling an ambulance, but then he remembered how your parents were and the hospital would need to call them.

He scooped you up and carefully shoving you into the backseat. As he lifted your shirt to check the wound, his suspicions were confirmed. Shit," he muttered,
---

The next thing you knew, you were waking up to a blindingly bright light. You tried to sit up but instantly regretted it as a sharp pain shot through your side. "Ah, crap," you groaned.

"Ohh, look who's finally awake," a teasing voice chimed from your left.

You turned your head, blinking against the light, only to find Goo's face way too close to yours. "Goo?!" you yelped, trying to scoot away, but your body had other plans. Goo just smiled like a cat that had found a particularly fun toy.

"Did you miss me?" he whispered dramatically, cupping your face with his hands. You squirmed, but his grip was like a vice.

"Goo, knock it off," Gun's deep voice came from across the room, clearly annoyed.

Goo pouted but released you with a 'tsk'. "Always ruining my fun."

Gun strolled over and sat in the chair beside your bed, all casual like he hadn't just rescued you from bleeding out on the sidewalk. "Good to see you're alive, I guess."

You finally managed to sit up with Goo's help, glancing around. "Where... am I?" you asked, blinking at your unfamiliar surroundings.

"My place," Goo said cheerfully, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. You frowned.

"How did I get here?"

Gun raised an eyebrow, looking mildly amused. "You were stabbed."

Your eyes widened as the memories hit you. You pulled the blanket off and lifted your shirt to reveal the stitched-up wound on your side. "This... wouldn't have happened if you weren't stalking me," you grumbled, glaring at Gun.

Goo burst out laughing. "Dude, you were stalking her? That's embarrassing."

Gun leaned back, a smug grin on his face. "Stalking? I was making sure you weren't dangerous anymore."

"Yeah? How's that working out for you?" you shot back sarcastically, wincing as you moved too fast.

Goo snorted, clearly enjoying every second of your exchange. Gun, however, looked unimpressed. Before he could answer, Goo interrupted. "Did you see who stabbed you?" He asked and you shook your head.

"It was dark, I couldn't see him clearly." You rubbed your temples trying to remember him as best you could.

Gun sighed and crossed his arms, taking his time to think for a moment. "Did he say anything?" You looked up at Gun and he could see the conflict in your eyes. "(Y/N)... what did he say?"

"He told me that Jake said hi." You said, almost sounding like a whisper. The room fell silent and Goo and Gun exchanged looks, eyebrows raised. This was exactly what they didn't want to happen.

"Jake?" Gun repeated, his tone more serious now. "Jake did this to you?"

"No, I don't think so," you said quickly, rubbing your temples. "I mean... he wouldn't, right? It's Jake."

Gun didn't answer immediately, clearly deep in thought. "I'll talk to him," he finally said, standing up.

You shook your head. "No, don't. It's not worth it. I don't think Jake's even behind it."

"He collects money for me. If his people are pulling this kind of crap, I need to know about it," Gun insisted, his tone leaving no room for argument.

You sighed, nodding reluctantly. "Fine. Just... don't make things worse."

As if wanting to change the subject, Gun looked at you with a slight smirk. "So, who's that boy you've been hanging around with?"

"You got yourself a boyfriend?" Goo added, barely containing his laughter.

You groaned. "He's a classmate, and we're just friends, okay?"

Gun shrugged, satisfied with the answer, though Goo didn't seem convinced.

Suddenly, Goo's phone rang, and he excused himself from the room, leaving you alone with Gun. The silence between you two grew awkward, both clearly lost in thought.

"About that day..." Gun started, but you waved him off, not wanting to dive into old memories.

"I don't want to talk about it," you said quickly.

Gun paused for a moment, then shrugged. "It was nice seeing you," he said, standing up. "And you weren't weak. Not even close."

Before you could respond, Gun left the room, leaving you alone with your thoughts.

Your phone buzzed, and you glanced at it, your eyes widening at the flood of missed calls. You scrolled through your notifications, wincing when you saw your mom's message.

Apparently, one of them, probably Goo, had texted your mom to say you were staying at a friend's place for the weekend and she surprisingly didn't care that much.

You opened the next chat from Zoe and Mira, quickly typing a half-hearted apology for missing school.

And then, there was Zack. His messages were a mixture of annoyance and worry.

Zack
Where are you?
You promised to come today
Why aren't you responding??

You groaned and slapped your hand over your face.

You quickly typed a reply.

(Y/N)
I'm sorry, I'm ok!

Instantly, the little "read" notification popped up, and within seconds, his response came through.

Zack
Where are you?

You frowned at your phone, you weren't used to see Zack worried, or better yet worried about you.

You turned your phone off and closed your eyes as you laid down again. Getting involved with Gun and Goo again was the last thing you needed.
