You took a seat behind the desk, pulling out your pencil case and neatly organizing everything in front of you. The move from East Seoul had been a big change, and now, starting fresh at a new school felt surreal.

A tall guy walked into the classroom, his eyes narrowing as they landed on you. "Who are you?" he asked, his expression curious as he took in the sight of the new girl sitting right next to his usual seat.

"I'm (Y/N). I'm new here," you introduced yourself, trying to sound as casual as possible. He seemed satisfied enough with your answer and sat down next to you.

"And you are?" you asked, wanting to return the favor. He didn't look up from his phone as he mumbled a response.

"Zack."

"Sweet," you muttered sarcastically under your breath, already feeling a sense of discomfort from his dismissive attitude. Zack didn't seem like the friendliest person to be around.

As the classroom started filling up with more students, a girl with light brown hair tied up in a messy bun entered the room. Her eyes immediately locked on Zack. "Hi, Zack!" she greeted him with a sweet smile, and you couldn't miss the way Zack blushed instantly.

"H-Hi Mira," he stammered, clearly flustered. "Do you—"

Mira's eyes shifted to you. "Wait, aren't you the girl from the movies? The one who picked a fight with that guy throwing popcorn at me?" she asked, recognition lighting up her face.

You nodded, now remembering her too. "Yeah, that was me."

"It's nice seeing you again," you laughed awkwardly, feeling a bit out of place.

Zack glanced at you, then back at Mira, clearly thrown off by this unexpected reunion. "I didn't know you were a high schooler," Mira said, blinking at you in surprise.

"I hear that a lot," you replied with a smile, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.

Mira introduced herself properly this time. "I'm Mira, and this is Zack. He might look mean, but he's a real sweetheart once you get to know him," she teased, and both you and Zack raised an eyebrow at her.

"I'll leave you two to it," she added, elbowing Zack playfully before taking her seat behind you.

"Nice to meet you," Zack said suddenly, loud enough for Mira to hear. It sounded more forced than genuine, and you couldn't help but side-eye him, stifling a laugh.

"Nice to meet you too, Zack," you replied, humoring him. Zack's tough exterior seemed to crumble a bit when Mira was around, which was... interesting.

Just then, the teacher walked in, followed by another new student. "Oh, you're already here? We were waiting outside for you," the teacher said, catching you off guard.

You gave a sheepish smile. "Yeah, I came a bit early. Sorry."

The teacher waved it off. "No worries! Everyone, meet our new students—(Y/N) and Daniel."

As you stood at the front with Daniel, you noticed how the whole class seemed astonished. You assumed the reaction was because of Daniel, with his quiet but striking presence, but little did you know, he thought the same about you.

Daniel took the empty seat next to you, making you seatmates. As you sat back down, you glanced over at Zack, who was glaring at Mira, who in turn was staring at Daniel. Zack snapped his head forward, his face darkening.

"If you keep looking at me, I'll snap your neck," he muttered, his voice low enough that only you could hear.

You simply chuckled, unphased. "I'd love to see you try," you teased, knowing you were pushing his buttons. Zack shot you a fierce look, clearly not in the mood to be challenged, especially by you.
