Kataleya leaned against the headboard of her California queen size bed as she breastfed her infant son. Khalil was holding onto her shirt tightly as he ate from his mother's breast. He looked up at her as she watched his father move around their bedroom.
"So how many homes are we looking at today?" She asked watching as Dejhari folded up the laundry that she did the night before. She was thankful that everything wasn't so modern with them. She did clean and cook but Dejhari also helped around the house when he could. "I'm excited."
He looked at Kat with a small smirk. "Yeah, I'm excited too. I know you wanna get outta here so we gon try to squeeze atleast four in today." He said organizing the clothes in small stacks. He was oddly a neat freak. "That's cool with you?"
"Yeah," She said nodding her head. "I'm just ready to move. Can we hire movers? I don't wanna have to pack all this shit up and move it. That's too much."
Dejhari didn't respond. He couldn't help but smirk at how spoiled she sounded. He knew he would get the movers and anything else she wanted but it was nice to hear her so comfortable with the new lifestyle that they lived since Dejhari had changed his life around.
He was now a full time businessman. He didn't have any dealings in the streets at all and he enjoyed it. He never thought he would see the day where he was no longer into the streets. He thought that because he fucked up his previous opportunity to a better life he wouldn't be able to live a successful life.
Now, he was successful and prospering well. His community centers were getting all the funding they would need to flourish more than they already were. He was now in the process of opening his fourth custom car shop in the Florida area. He was ready to branch out and move his businesses to a different state. He had dealings and investments that were doing very well. He was just thankful to be done with the streets and he knew that Kataleya was as well.
Kataleya pulled her shirt up and began burping Khalil. She couldn't believe that she was a mom sometimes. She didn't think that she would have a child so young and so unemployed. She figured she would have her life figured out like Dejhari did.
Sometimes she felt embarrassed to be around Treasure or even talk to her. She figured they would both be away in school living their lives but life had different plans. Talking to Treasure motivated her to go back to school and get more serious about her life and her plans outside of motherhood and her relationship.
"I start school on Monday." She revealed looking at Dejhari as he put their clothes away in the dresser next to the bed. He furrowed his eyebrows and looked over at her as she rubbed on Khalil's back.
"How long you gonna be there? How many classes you got?" He asked walking over to the bed. He laid down across it and rested his head on her lap. Khalil let out a loud burp causing them both to laugh a little. "Damn lil nigga."
She laid him in her arms and eyed the small mug he had on his face as he looked at his dad. "Um, I have four classes on Monday. My first class is at 10. My last class isn't over until 4 so after class I'll just go get him from your mom and then come home and make dinner and stuff."
He didn't say anything. He only nodded as he listened to her plans. He knew she would be too tired to make dinner so he would be calling a chef to come and make dinner for them both. "Youn think you gonna be too tired to make dinner after all them classes?"
