Laxita's POV
It has been a few days since that incident. Veer has almost healed by now and that's why I could find him roaming in the premises sometimes. We had a few indirect interactions but I haven't talked to him directly. It's hard to stay focused on what he says because I am always distracted by that handsome face. That smile is lethal. Not to mention that confidence, he knows what he's doing. He's way too attractive. Gosh, he's messing with my brain without even trying.
When Devika praised him to no extent, I thought she was bluffing. But now that I know him a bit, I can say that she wasn't lying.
He's the social butterfly of the room and thrives when he's with people, which is the complete opposite of me. I prefer to stay in my small circle of friends and acquaintances. He knows everyone, literally everyone, by their names. He meets and greets everyone, asks them how they are doing and so on. He interacts with people so easily when he is not even staying here permanently. On the other hand, there's me. It took me an entire year to just learn everyone's name.
Right now, I am tired of my training and I am taking a break in the training arena with Devansh. We were sitting right across from him. Today, he's going to teach the mages on how to wield a sword. As my aunt had said, low-level mages are required to learn to wield a weapon to protect themselves, so they're learning it from the best. From what I have heard, he's great at what he does. And I was about to witness that.
He removed the cream coloured cloth which he had used to cover his upper body and now he was standing in front of us in just a white coloured dhoti (loincloth).
Oh.
My.
God.
I am sure my mouth is hanging open because this view is mesmerizing. All those rippled muscles are visible to me in full glory. He was patched up with bandages when we met for the first time and other times I saw him fully clothed so I didn't get a chance to see his body. The scar on his chest had vanished because of the treatment he had here at Soma Sangha. I knew he had a muscular body by looking at the way his clothes fitted him but seeing him half naked was something else. He looked amazing. He picked up a sword and wielded it to show his battle ready stance and I was in awe, he looked like a fierce warrior. The way his muscles flexed and glistened in the late morning sunshine was doing something to me. Not to mention, the easy movements he did with his sword as he was teaching them....Gosh! I am at a loss of words yet again. He handled the sword with so much ease and familiarity as he was an experienced warrior who had fought battles to protect the people of his kingdom.
I wondered how those muscles would feel under my fingers. How I would glide my fingers across his pecs, abs, not to mention, those biceps and forearms-
"Wipe that drool off your face", Devansh interrupted my thoughts. "You are literally ogling him."
That statement cleared my Veer induced haze. "I am not ogling him." I sounded defensive and that was a pathetic attempt at a comeback.
"Sure. If that's what you say."
