Chapter 18

Third Person's

Nate was greeted by the smell of a black coffee when he woke up. He was feeling okay now unlike yesterday when he was still weak. 

He also tried to recall what happened yesterday because he was still confused as to why his wife was there. It's not that he doesn't want her to be there but he is just shocked.

When he was all set he got out of his room and found Sage watching Avengers on the TV.

He went near her and kissed her forehead before sitting beside her.

"Good Morning Sage." he greeted enthusiastically

"Good Morning, you're energetic for someone who's sick." Sage greeted back 

"I think I'm okay now." he responded assuring Sage

"When did you get here?" he asked 

"Yesterday, because someone did not message me for a week." Sage said emphasizing her sentiment 

Nate looked at her apologetically.

"Are you mad?" he asked

"No, why would why? I'm just upset that you didn't update me."

"I'm really sorry, Sage I didn't mean to ghost you it's just that I don't want you to worry." 

Nate knows that it is not a valid reason but he just said it anyway.

"But you did make me worry Nate. You choose not to message me. You choose to make me worry about you. I don't know if you are alright and well." Sage said still upset

"What's the point of being your wife?" she asked

"I'm sorry, Sage. I just didn't want to bother you." he said not knowing what to say anymore because he knew that he messed up

"You don't bother me, Nate" Sage said assuring him

"Kung hindi pa ako pumunta dito hindi ko malalaman na nagkasakit ka and that Cassandra would take advantage on you." Sage continued

"About that, I didn't know why she was in my room. I will check the CCTV later." 

"You better be." 

"I will not stop saying sorry Sage, because I know that I messed up but let me make it up to you." 

Nate was not usually making up for his shortcomings right away. He makes himself busy to let things settle down before resolving it. But with Sage, it became easy and light. He would do things that he was not used to and he became more gentle when it came to Sage.

Sage POV

We come out of the hotel where we are staying in and casually stroll around the city. It was great to see things new with the person that makes you happy. 

We stopped by a ramen house to have our lunch since we were walking and enjoying each other's company for a few hours.

While waiting for our orders I asked him to consider my offer.

"After what happened yesterday, would you consider me now to be your model Nate?" I straightly asked

"Sage you know that I am against it." he said worriedly 

"I know but let me just help." Pagpupumilit ko

"Okay but please tell me when you feel uncomfortable." he said which I nodded

I missed modeling, I want to showcase my skills besides helping him. It's been a while since I did it. This will also help me if I should just hide my relationship with him. 

After a few minutes, our orders came and we ate silently smiling at each other whenever we had the chance to look at each other.

After eating we stroll for a few more hours to find souvenirs before going back to our hotel.

"I will stay in my room, Nate." I informed him when we were in our hotel room floor 

"Why? you can stay at my place." he said confusedly

"I need to work and you should also because you got sick for a few days."

"Okay, can you come near me? Please I miss you so much." he asked straightly

"Y-yes of course." I responded before hugging me tightly

"I'm sorry for making you worry Sage, I won't do it again." he said before kissing my forehead

"Do you really want to do the modeling?" he asked again kaya kumalas ako sa pagkakayakap niya

I narrowed my eyes because he really couldn't stop asking me.

"Yes, Nate." I answered not backing out

"Okay, fine." he said surrendering tapos itinaas pa ang kamay

Before going to his room he hugged me again and kissed me in my cheek.

Nate you're making me feel familiar things again.

I chose not to ask him why he denied that he doesn't have a wife. I choose to still be with him and help him if I must even if he doesn't want. I choose to be his wife in all situation we got.
