Chapter 9- Turning against the Tide

The Queen once again requested Ciel's presence in London involving a very peculiar case. An assailant in the night was attacking small boys and gouged their eyes out. I could tell something was on Ciel's mind but i didn't question it "whatever is the trouble young master?" Sebastian asked him which Ciel didn't answer him.

I followed them to the house of a young boy who was the latest victim "the boy who took my eyes, He was a well dressed boy with blonde hair" that couldn't be, if its who i'm thinking then it couldn't be him. Ciel would be after a dead person. Ciel left the boy's house and me and my brother followed him to a market, Ciel took a seat on a large box "a well dressed boy i see I wonder, as far as i know all the attacks have had a weird pattern" Ciel took out a map and drew on it "i knew it, the pattern is a spider web that means Alois is still alive"  Ciel concluded "or it may be Claude acting out on his own" Sebastian suggested, Ciel turned to my brother "you aren't hiding from me regarding Alois are you Sebastian?" to which my brother's reply was "no sir, not at all". Then a box exploded close to us

 Ciel was hidden in a box while Sebastian and i ran away from the box Ciel was in. I heard the growl that would mistaken for Grell's death scythe but it wasn't. It was a reaper by the name of Ronald Knox and his death scythe was a lawnmower which explained the noise. I don't know whats up with these reapers, it seems to me all their death scythes were garden equipment. Do they do gardening on the side on their spare time? Sebastian threw knives into his lawnmower "great now its useless" Ronald complained "what are you doing Ronald? i asked unimpressed "wait do you know him sister?"  I scratched the back of my head laughing nervously "um yes i actually do?" my voice got weak at my sentence "when were you going to tell me you were seeing reapers?" i winced at Sebastian's scolding "hey! that was when i was younger and you weren't there brother!" i argued "to answer your question Selcura, I'm going to be the next die hard reaper!" he mimicked Grell's hand signature i stared dumbly at the awkward reaper.

"i know, i know its stupid, but sir Sutcliff insisted i needed a catchphrase and General affairs agreed and made one up" he looked so pathetic with that look on his face that i started to laugh "no matter you and your catchphrase will be short lived" as Sebastian wielded his signature cutlery knife "brother what are you doing!?!" i panicked "so why are you here? is it because the soul of Alois Trancy is unrecoverable" Sebastian asked cockily which a familiar pruning pole pierced the roof of the house we were standing on.

"i knew you would be involved, hello again Sebastian" William T Spears told my brother coldly, i slipped away to check on Ciel who was still in the box, i heard him yelling inside while children played London Bridges "I'M THE ONE WHO GIVES ORDERS!" Ciel leapt from the box and ran with me close on his heels. We both saw a boy who looked like Alois and i followed Ciel who started to chase him down but i was pulled into an alleyway. I faintly heard Ciel yelling while i struggled against whoever had a hold on me.

"Let me go!" i exclaimed, "afraid not my dear you and me need to have a talk" Claude whispered in my ear before taking me deep into the alleyway "what do you want?" i asked shakily as he still held on to me "i believe you don't know your brother the way you think you do" i widened my eyes "I do" i defiantly told Claude before kicking him away from me. Both me and Claude stood staring at each other "why do you think he gets hurt at almost every fight he gets in?" Claude asked me as he circled me "i suppose your going to tell me" "he enjoys your pain, has he apologized to you lately for getting himself injured? He loves to see your torment, he doesn't care about you" Claude told me which made me draw out shaky breaths but screamed out in pain which made Claude smirk, i held my arm which my hand came away with blood. I stared at Claude with a hurt expression.

 "See what did i tell you? Your brother has no feelings, how could he give his own sister the love and respect that she deserves?" dreadful realization was starting to hit me, Claude's seductive words were filling my heart with hate for my brother. "What about that young nun a long time ago? he knew how you felt about that, your poor mother suffered for your father's trysts, Sebastian wanted to remind you of that" i gasped in horror, even though i shouldn't i was starting to believe Claude's words, he bent down into my ear and whispered "do you want to know the most terrible out of all of what he did to you? He's the reason Alois is dead, he knew you cared about him, he made the pact with me that would make Alois the reason for Ciel's revenge" I pushed him away tears falling down "it can't be true, my brother would ever hurt me that way" i sobbed "Oh but it is, why do you think a dark red rose now rests on his and mine's tailcoat? Why would i ever lie to you my love?" i stayed there sobbing harder

I felt a hand rubbing my back in comfort as my tears slowly dried up "but your the one who truly killed Alois, i saw it" i said flatly "I did kill him but to save him from Sebastian, i did a mercy  killing  whereas Sebastian would have killed Alois without thought or compassion" 

In that moment, my heart and mind came to a conclusion; Sebastian was the true enemy, Claude was right about Sebastian killing Alois with such cruelty "your kindness will not be forgotten, what do you want as a reward?" i asked him "i only wish you to be my bride" Claude took my hand and kissed it "then i accept to be your wife" i smiled seductively, he held out his hand for me to take it.

I took his hand before vanishing with him and appearing in the Trancy Manor the interior changed completely from golden to midnight blue "now if you would excuse me? i have a certain young master to retrieve" Claude bowed but i grabbed him before he could vanish "i'd like to come with you" he nodded smiling before vanishing with me. We ended up in a mental institute, Claude knocked out the men who was torturing a now weakened Ciel, he took the boy's hand and slid Alois's ring on his finger.

Claude, after Ciel woke up, whispered something into Ciel's ear before Sebastian barged in "Selcura, i'm so glad i found you" he came over to hug me but i backed away glaring at him with glowing eyes "stay away from me you loathsome creature" i hissed at him as i stood behind Claude much to my brother's surprise, Sebastian turned to Ciel "young master?" Sebastian stared at Ciel who took off his eye patch "Sebastian this is an order, you are to never be in my sight again!" Ciel glared at Sebastian who's face is full of shock, I went over and slapped my brother hard on the face "thats for Alois" We vanished from Sebastian's sight while Claude was carrying Ciel who was sleeping "My young master" Claude whispered
