Kibishi's POV

Dairy town...

Kuma and I were sitting down outside of this new ice cream shop.

It's scary they made it within a month or so, but there's no time for that to think about that right now.

Kuma had a strawberry mixed with blueberry ice cream and whipped cream. She had a cute dog-like spoon, which seems to be a prize to keep after finishing your business here.

I only got a plain vanilla flavor ice cream with a dog spoon as well.

We both were eating our ice cream in dead silence.

I sometimes come up with conversations, but Kuma nods to them. I end up stopping talking altogether and keep eating.  Of course, I plan on talking again, but for now, I'm thinking of a way to start another conversation.

"Kuma might not like it, but having moments like this clears your mind." I thought to myself.

I looked at Kuma's ice cream and saw it was almost done. This... this is the sixth cup of ice cream she had...

I won't mention it since I don't want to start a fight. Either way, I want us to talk again. I don't like it when Kuma is this way.

"Oh yeah, Kuma." I started with a soft smile.

"Hmm?" Kuma looks at me with a curious expression.

"What's your favorite book to read?" I ask.

"Huh? Why would you want to know that?" Kuma says, sitting up straight and sounding a bit more of herself.

"Well, I'm not that good at reading, but I like to see those pictures of those light novels! Besides, I think I have a genre I may like, but I want to know yours first! If... that's alright for you." I said.

"Mm..." Kuma placed her right index finger under her chin and tilted her head cutely. "...Romance, I guess. Although,  I also like action and adventure stories as well..."

"You too?" I ask while leaning forward.

"Mm-hmm." Kuma nod.

"Interesting! We should read together with the whole gang sometime then!" I nod.

"I see..." Kuma looks at me in surprise.

"..."

"..."

....Great, now we're back in silence...

I place my hand under my chin and then nod to myself.

"Hey, Kuma," I say with a bright smile.

"What is it?" Kuma asks curiously.

Nice! She's opening up again!

"You think if I take Tao here, she'll like it?" I ask.

"Hmm..." Kuma thinks to herself. She looks at the place. "Well, Tao isn't picky when it comes to you, so I doubt any other place matters. But I think she'll appreciate it if you take her out sometimes."

"Think so?" I ask curiously.

"Yup," Kuma nods.

"I see. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!" I said.

"Mm-hmm." Kuma nods as she stirs her ice cream. At least she's talking again instead of being silent all the time now.

What else to talk about?

Without speaking, we'll go back to square one again. But I'm not sure what else to talk about at this point.

Hmm...
