Dawn of the Dragons Arc Part 4: First Mission

Takeyasu was currently observing his trainees doing their training. They were improving quite a bit and it has been a few weeks, so some have been improving. The Draconic Arc has been a staple for attacking and Serpent's Path became a good speed booster. Everyone was training hard, but Shimizu has also been put through the ringer. No one knew he was the Tsuguko and just thought he was training hard, but was getting training to serve as Yasu's replacement once he is dead.

Takeyasu: Alright everyone! Perfect, perfect, great job. Now, I want you all to take a break. Breakfast time is coming up. So go on over to Aiuchi's or another restaurant in the city.

Everyone: Yes, Tatsukami-sama!

They leave as Yasu writes in his journal again. No matter what, his training regimens always needed analysis and he could use it easily and so can everyone else, but he needed to make sure they'd understand the concepts and more.

As he watched everyone head down to the restaurants, he was encountered by a Kakushi member. He hands him a slip of paper, bows, and heads off with Kagaya's amulet.

Takeyasu: What's this?

This was the very first mission order from Kagaya. They'd get more, but Yasu was happy to get his team's first order. And it'd require some members.

Takeyasu: Better talk to the group after breakfast.

After breakfast, Shimizu and the gang head to see their leader in the main house. They sit down and Yasu pulls out a paper from his uncle.

Takeyasu: Glad to see you here. Now, we have a mission on orders from oyakata-sama. Kakushi have located a demon nest which has exterminated most patrollers in the area. He's counting on us for the job. I will need 5 slayers for the first mission.

Shimizu first raises his hand and Takeyasu gestures him over. Then a few more join up with him. Lastly, Sakaki joins up with the group. Takeyasu nods and looks over the schedule.

Takeyasu: Ok. You five will go off on your own. Shimizu's in charge.

DB 1: Shimizu? Why him?

Takeyasu: He's my Tsuguko.

DB 2: Tsuguko?!

Shimizu: (Aw crap.)

Takeyasu: Here are 5 train tickets. I won't be there. Kakushi will be there as well. But you're going to have to follow Shimizu's orders. If you don't, I'll report this to oyakata-sama.

DBs: Yes sir!

Takeyasu: Good. Now you're dismissed.

After a long day of training, he goes to Misaki Aiuchi's restaurant and meets up with his lover Kanae. She goes to greet him hello, but also to check up on the city as her, Matsuri, Tomioka, and Itsunori made up the council of Mist City.

Kanae: Yasu-kun!

Takeyasu: Ah, hello Kanae.

He kisses her cheek and tells Misaki for the usual as she gets to cooking. Kanae notices the trainees working hard and some performing Serpent's Path and even attempting Call of Nature. They were still greenhorns, but they were growing into their positions.

Kanae: They've been working hard.

Takeyasu: I've had Shimizu in charge of the mission.

Kanae: Are you sure? Why not just have one slayer sent?
