He is late again....
Sunoo stood before the door, anxiety creeping in as he fidgeted with the strap of his bag. He knew he was late and the thought of Sunghoon waiting for him only added to his nerves.
It wasn't his fault—there had been an unexpected meeting at the university, one that was necessary to prepare for the upcoming sports days. Still, he had promised to be home before seven and now glancing at his phone it was already approaching eight.
The dinner plan he made with Jungwon was slipping out of his grasp and if Sunghoon wasn't in the mood, there was no telling if he would allow him to go.
The footsteps from inside the house grew louder and Sunoo's heart thudded in his chest knowing exactly who was on the other side.
When the door swung open Sunghoon stood there with a frown etched deep into his handsome features, his arms were crossed over his chest while his shoulders were tensed.
"Why didn't you call me? I could've picked you up from university." Sunghoon's voice came low but filled with disappointment.
Sunoo knew well that he shouldn't reply now, he just gave a sheepish smile trying to ease the tension as he slipped past Sunghoon into the house.
"Mr. Lim dropped me. Sorry I didn't call you. Everything happened so quickly." he explained hurriedly discarding his bag onto the bed and tugged at the watch on the wrist trying to appear nonchalant as he removed his socks.
But obviously, Sunghoon wasn't someone to let things slide. Standing tall with his arms still crossed his frown deepened more.
"Mr. Lim? Who's that?" his tone came sharp and the way his brows furrowed
showed that Sunoo's casual mention of another man had struck a chord.
The younger tilted his head puzzled for a moment. "Oh, he's a professor who transferred last year. Didn't I tell you?" he racked his brain trying to remember if he ever mentioned it to Sunghoon. Perhaps he hadn't.
Sunghoon's eyes narrowed. "No, you didn't." and his gaze shifted to scan smaller's hurried movements as he sat on the bed next to him. "Why are you in such a rush?"
And here it came.
Sunoo bit his lip knowing exactly where this was going, he scooted closer to Sunghoon, resting his chin on his shoulder, his hands gently wrapping around Sunghoon's arm in a soft grip.
Sunoo stared up at him with wide pleading eyes trying to ease the simmering tension. "I have to meet Jungwon. I promised him."
And Sunoo wasn't allowed to go out after 9 until it's urgent. The curfew towards Sunoo wasn't just a rule enforced for the sake of dominance from Sunghoon, he worried about Sunoo though his anxiety manifested as strict control.
Sunghoon didn't like him being out late, he didn't like not knowing where Sunoo was or who he was with. If it was past nine, Sunghoon either insisted on driving Sunoo himself or would flat-out refuse to let him go.
