KIERAN'S POV.
That one cry that echoed through the forest, made Jordan and I stop in our tracks. We looked at each other in pure horror, knwoing who has just cried out.
" Solange!" We cried, running in the direction of the cry. She was in trouble, and we had left her. Tears began to well up in my eyes, but I forced them back, refusing to cry. Jordan morphed into his wolf form and ran ahead. I picked up speed and leaped onto his back. I felt him stmble slightly, but he picked back up.
" Come on! We need to get to her!" I yelled. We dodged through the trees swiftly, jumping over roots and ducking under low branches. But as we jumped over a very low branch, Jordan's paw got stuck under a root and he fell forward violently, which launched me into the air. I hit a tree with a sharp crack. And as I fell, so did the tree.
" No!!!!!" I yelled trying to move out of the way. The last thing I saw, was Jordan howling in horror.
JORDAN'S POV
The moment I fell I knew one of us would be gone. I never thought it could have been my brother. I watched as he soared through the air and into a tree, and I watched as the tree fell on him. And I kept watching, as he died, slowly and painfully. Because I knew I could do nothing. I knocked my head back and howled, long and hard, for the loss of my brother. He had done so much for me. And I had let him down. I had killed him.
SOLANGE'S POV
I heard a howl in the distance that followed a yell and a crash. I winced, but the sounds suddenly gave me the freedom to walk. I stumbled back, tripping over a root and falling back. The two zombies stopped, staring at me... Or they would be if they had eyes. I whimpered quietly and closed my eyes tight, bracing myself for the end. I was sure this was where my journey ended, there wasn't a way in which I could live through being mauled by zombies. I waited, feeling their dead, cold presences getting closer. I shivvered with horror, shock, disbelief, and cold. I wasn't scared. But as I felt one of them nudge me, I heard a soar through the air and a whistle of wind.
"Eat my shoes!" A female girl cried. I heard a 'thud' and something hurtle back and hit a tree with a crack. I opened my eyes slowly to see a girl crouched on the floor, one of the zombies making its way towards her. There was also a male, who was sauntering casually over to the zombie who had been flung against a tree, which was recovering and getting back to its feet.
" Nice one Kaoru." He laughed, pulling a lighter out of his pocket. he held it next to the zombies throat and flicked it, the small flame coming into contact with the rotting flesh, setting the zombie alight. A bloodcurling, high pitched scream was heard as the zombie fell to the floor and exploded into ashes. The male laughed and walked back to the girl who was aparently called Kaoru, who had just finished with the other zombie. He lit the remains of the zombie on fire, which also buest into ash. I began to stand up slowly as they embraced in a hug. They turned to me and smiled. I smiled back.
"So, you're Keegan's sister?" The male asked me.
"Leo! That's a bit forward!" Kaoru yelled, smacking his arm.
"Sorry!" He whimpered. I laughed and nodded.
"Yeah, I am, but how did you know?" I asked. They both looked at each other.
" You both look almost the same." They said together. I raised an eyebrow.
" You know where she is?" I asked again. They both nodded.
" We are here to help you." Kaoru said. They both grasped either of my hands and we sped off through the forest.
