Part 11- Damon’s POV

I never expected to see Solange ever again. That night when I crashed the car, I thought that was it. But somehow, someone saved me. I don’t even know who it was. But right now, that didn’t matter to me. I was still suffering from shock from seeing her, I didn’t even know Keegan was her sister! I held her tightly, I never wanted to let go.

“Damon, you’re hurting me” Solange murmured. I released my grip on her reluctantly and took a step back.

“Sorry…” I apologized, looking down at the ground. “I just missed you so much, all these years, I…” I trailed off slowly, my voice breaking as I tried to hold back my tears. I felt her take my hands gently, and I looked up, looking straight into her eyes. The colour had changed ever so slightly; they were a lighter shade of blue. I couldn’t help but smile as she blushed slightly. Without me realising, I reached out and stroked her cheek. She was definitely real. I wasn’t dreaming. I looked over the hills, the sun was setting.

“You should really be getting home, the sun’s setting and it isn’t safe out here at night.” I stated. Solange nodded once.

“I don’t want to leave you… I don’t care if I don’t see anyone again.” She whispered, looking at the ground. I grinned.

“Well, lucky for us, Nikkiane has another house, a little further into the forest, only a small cottage. I stayed there for a while before I came to live with her, we can stay there.” I said. Solange looked up, her eyes glittering.

“Our own house?” She exclaimed excitedly. I nodded once, smiling at her as she jumped up and down, clapping. She grabbed my hand roughly.

“Well let’s go then!” She yelled, trying to drag me through the forest. I rolled my eyes and picked her up bridal style, running through the forest with ease.

Keegan’s POV

“Where the hell is she?!” I screamed running back the way we came.

“Calm down Keegan, she’s probably gone to find Kieran…” Jordan yelled from behind me. I stopped, turning to him.

“What happened to him?” I asked, widening my eyes slightly as she ran straight into me, knocking us both to the floor.

“He was crushed. By a tree.” Jordan whispered. I shook my head sadly, sitting up. Jordan sat up as well, putting his arm around my shoulders.

“We should really be getting home; Jack will be waiting for us.” Jordan stated. I smiled and got up, running back towards the house.

We reached the house and Jordan opened the front door for me, letting me go in first. I walked in, and saw our little boy, Jack, sat at the table with a young girl, obviously a babysitter of some description. Jordan shut the door and Jack looked straight at me, our eyes meeting for at least half a minute.

“Mummy?” he asked timidly. I grinned and nodded. He screamed and giggled, jumping from his seat and running up to me. I caught him in my arms and spun him round in the air. He giggled and I held him tightly.

“I’ve missed you both so much” I whispered. Jordan wrapped his arms around us both tightly.

“We’re finally a family again.” He said with a smile. He kissed both of our foreheads lightly, and we stood embraced for a few more minutes, before the babysitter cleared her throat awkwardly. I put Jack down on his feet and Jordan let go of us both.

“Sorry Karlene, just a family moment. How was Jack?” Jordanlaughed. Karlene smiled. “It’s okay Jordan, I understand. Jack was an angel. I’ll get my stuff and call a taxi” she said happily as she walked upstairs. Jordan brought out his phone and dialled for a taxi. I looked at Jack and smiled.

“We best get something for you to eat, I bet you’re starving.” I said, picking him up and taking him into the kitchen.
