Punishment"
-Liora POV-I gazed out of the window of the carriage as worries invaded my mind. Why me? Why was I chosen?, it feels as if I'm being thrown away neither my father nor mother expressed concern for sending their youngest daughter to a king they know nothing about in a kingdom amongst a race that's famous for their hostility towards humans.
What will happen to me when we get there? I know today is only supposed to be a meeting with him but I can't help but feel like it's all going to go wrong.
"It seems as though you have forgotten my promise" said my brother Erik, I turned to look at him seeing that he was smirking as one leg was crossed over the other and both hands rested on top of them.
"I told you I would get rid of you" he said with a smile, one that sent a shiver down my back.
I frowned at his words.
They sent my brother to act as the ambassador, he practically jumped at the opportunity the moment my father received the letter. Being alone with him is another reason I feel uneasy, my brother has never had good intentions towards me and I never understood why.
It's not like I get all our parents attention or something and that's usually the main reason for one sibling to hate another.
It's been like this every since we were young and it started with little acts of torment like sticking candy in my hair or firing sling shots at me when no ones watching but at some point his secret actions became more aggressive and his words grew crueler.
My sister never liked me much either but at least she just ignores me and treats me as if I'm not worth her time. Everyone in the palace ignored me that's how I was able to live so peacefully up until now.
It's only mental with with my sister but with Erik it's physical as well.
Just then the carriage came to a stop and then there was a knock on the carriage door. "Your highness Prince Erik we have arrived outside of the check point" said one of the knights. "My brother put on a smile one that to others seemed sweet but I knew it was devilish.
"Thank you" he said to the knight just before he shut the carriage door and looked over at me.
"Shall we dear sister?" He asked with a smirk.
When we stepped out we were greeted by two elves who stood just outside the woods. One of them was shirtless but wore pants and boots.
He had Strange markings on him that covered his body, he held a bow and arrow while the other had a sword and was dressed in what I assume was a knights armor.
