Location -The Kindom of Aeloria
Season- Winter
Time of day- Night-Lioras POV-
"Your hair is so long and shiny, it's amazing" said Nila as she combed through my hair and looked at it and amazement, She had helped me get ready for bed and this was the last thing we needed to do before I could sleep.
I wasn't use to getting pampered every day and night, I wasn't even use to having a maid of my own and at first all the attention from Nila made me uncomfortable but now I've come to look forward to her coming in the mornings, afternoon, Evenings, and nights.
She's often really chatty and bubbly way more than how she was when we first met.
I've learned a lot about her over the past few weeks, like the fact that she's considered a child even though she's 50 years old in elven years.
After helping me get ready for bed Nila left and I sat alone in the room. I found myself wandering over to the large window across from the bed looking out over the city. this kingdoms beauty doesn't only shine during the day, it's just as beautiful if not more at night, the lights that lit up the dark paths and streets were glowing orbs of every color, it looked like something out of a fairy tale. The streets were calm as shop owners packed up their product to take home for the night and other owners took their place setting up for the night market time just like back in my home kingdom.
Once the night owners set up the streets that were once calm became busy once more.
I smiled seeing the many people roaming the streets from elders on a night stroll with their partners to the little girl trying to get her father to buy her sweets. These people were no different from us yet in my kingdom we are taught to fear or look down upon them, to stay away or kill on sight. As I think about that I also found myself wondering if anything about the war between human and nonhumans that I've read in the books back home was even true.
I placed my hand on the cold glass catching a glimpse of my reflection in the glass but i looked closer another face came into view, I thought I was just seeing things until I heard a voice.
"It's beautiful isn't it" said a males voice I jumped and turned around nearly slipping and going through the window until a hand grabbed my arm and pulled me forward steadying me. My eyes were wide with fear as I looked over the face in front of me. "Careful, that would've been a pretty nasty fall" he said I quickly backed away from the man, he was tall much like Luna and his hair was the same color as well along with his eyes in which were also sun colored.
Are they related? He looked like a boy version of her but a little younger.
"W-Who are you?!" I asked my heart beating rapidly from fear in my chest.
The guy smirked, "Wow you are a beauty no wonder my sister is so attached to you" he said, his Sister?! Was he talking about Luna?!, he noticed the confused look on my face and sighed "Forgive me, I was rude before, I am Prince Thalion Eldarion Second Prince of Aeloria but between you and me the only one that matters really" he said with wink, it was clear that he was the arrogant, confident type.
Even though I now know who he is I still felt uneasy around him, like his intentions towards me weren't pure it was as if his presence was almost ominous and so was the unreadable expression he's been displaying.
I took another step back putting some more distance between him and I, he glanced up at me with a smirk as he noticed.
"Why are you in my bed chambers?" I asked, truly wanting to know, he wasn't invited and I just so happen to be alone Nila said Luna wouldn't be coming to bed to later.
"Smart question" he said before walking over to the tea table that was in the nearby the window of the room and sat down. My nervous grew as he played with the tea cup I had earlier bringing the cup up to his nose and smelling it, "Caramel green tea, lovely but I'm more of a milk tea type of man" he said his gaze drifting up to me.
I stay glued to my spot as I looked at him watching his every move cautiously.
"Anywho to answer your question, I'm here to kill you"
