Taehyung's eyes were locked on Yoongi, a sharp and dangerous glint flickering in his gaze. The room was dim, shadows dancing along the walls, amplifying the tension that filled the air. Yoongi sat bound to the chair, sweat dripping down his face, his breathing uneven from the beating he had endured. His left eye was swollen, turning into a deep bruise, but his lips still curled into a defiant smirk.
Taehyung stepped closer, his boots echoing in the silence, his jaw clenched tight with rage. He grabbed Yoongi’s jaw, forcing him to look up, his fingers digging into the bruised flesh. "You think that bastard can hide from me?" Taehyung's voice was low, sharp, like the edge of a blade ready to slice through any resistance.
Yoongi let out a dry chuckle, his lips bloodied but twisted in amusement. "Hide from you? You don't get it, do you?" His voice was raspy, filled with both defiance and mockery. "You’re out of your league, Taehyung. You can’t touch him. You’ll never get close enough."
Taehyung’s grip tightened, his eyes narrowing dangerously. "I don't need to touch him. I’ll break everyone around him until he’s the one begging to face me. And when he does…" He trailed off, his voice vibrating with controlled fury. "When I find him, I’ll make him regret ever thinking he could take her."
Yoongi laughed, a sound laced with pain but also with dark humor. "You talk big, but Jimin… he’s always been ten steps ahead. You can’t even find him, let alone stop him." His smirk widened as he saw the flicker of anger in Taehyung’s eyes. "You’re already too late, Taehyung. She’s with him now, and there’s nothing you can do about it."
The smirk on Yoongi’s face only fueled Taehyung's rage. He slammed Yoongi’s head back against the chair, the sound of bone hitting wood reverberating through the room. "You think I’m playing games with you?" Taehyung’s voice was a deadly whisper now, his fury barely contained. "When I find him, I’ll rip him apart piece by piece. And you—" he leaned closer, his breath hot against Yoongi’s face, "—I’ll make sure you’re the one watching when it happens."
Yoongi winced from the impact but didn’t break his gaze, his lips still twisted in that infuriating smirk. "You underestimate him," he sneered. "Jimin isn’t some pawn you can knock off the board. He’s the ace, and he’ll always win."
Taehyung’s lips curled into a sinister smile. "Well then," he said softly, stepping back, "let’s see how much this ace can hide from me. Because once I catch up to him, there won’t be any mercy. For him. Or for anyone who stood in my way."
Yoongi’s eyes flickered with a hint of uncertainty, but he quickly masked it with another taunting grin. "You don’t scare him, Taehyung. You don’t scare me."
Taehyung crossed his arms, his voice now cold and calculating. "Maybe not yet. But you’ll learn fear soon enough, Yoongi. You’ll learn it when you’re nothing but another pawn he’s sacrificed to save himself."
He turned to his men, his voice hardening as he gave his next orders. "Tighten the watch. Don’t let him out of your sight. He’ll lead us to Jimin."
As Taehyung began to walk away, Yoongi called after him, his voice laced with defiance. "You’re chasing a ghost, Taehyung. And ghosts? They don’t get caught."
Taehyung paused at the door, his back to Yoongi, before replying, "Then I’ll burn everything down until that ghost has nowhere left to hide."
