jeongguk rolled around on the couch uncomfortably, sweat on his forehead due to laying in the sun for long. it was early morning now and he was sure they had lectures soon, but taehyung still hadn't made his way downstairs.

he did say he didn't want to go. he pushed himself up and made his way upstairs, stopping when he heard the bathroom door open.

"oh, you're up?" jeongguk slowly walked towards the boy who was dressed more prettily than usual.

taehyung gave a mere nod and fiddled with his trousers, "are you still coming with me?"

"yeah, i'm just quickly gonna go home and get changed then i'll come back." jeongguk pointed behind him noticing the flicker of disappointment in taehyung's expression, "you can come with me, i live closer to the uni."

"okay, where's ye- tan?" taehyung looked around noticing that the puppy hadn't followed either of them around.

"still sleeping beside the couch, let's go." jeongguk began to lead the way and smiled when he saw the puppy stand up tiredly and stretch, "do you call him some else?"

"oh- um, i didn't know his name so i just called him yeon." taehyung nervously responded knowing that it was just a letter different from jeongguk's nickname.

"he probably gets really confused, let's just call him yeontan." jeongguk picked up the dog carefully and turned to taehyung whose eyes were stuck on the door in fear, "do they really bother you that much?"

"yes. especially if something has angered them and they want to come back to finish it off- we have the same schedule and they know that." taehyung replied, hesitating as he followed jeongguk out of the door once he had grabbed his keys.

"they know i'll be here, they won't try it. even if they do i'll step in." jeongguk had a feeling that taehyung was being a little too paranoid. he had never met people who were that upset about something that they quite literally become stalkers and stick around to start problems.

unfortunately, he was wrong. taehyung's suspicions were proven right when they were just a few minutes away from jeongguk's home which was the halfway point to university. the group could be seen standing there with scowls on their face looking around for their victim.

"do you like living alone?" jeongguk continued their conversation even after he spotted them, distracting taehyung who was just glad someone was talking to him.

"kind of, it's peaceful but boring and scary." taehyung hummed as he thought about what more to think about, "but at least i can do whatever i want without my parents nagging me."

"do you talk to your parents?" jeongguk stopped in front of his house, pushing taehyung forward from his back so he was shielding him from the view of the group.

"yeah i do." taehyung smiled, eyes twinkling as he stared up at jeongguk who suddenly forgot what he was doing to say due to the sight, "are we not going in?"

"go in with yeontan and feed him, i need to take care of something first." jeongguk handed the puppy to the boy who was confused at the demand but obeyed anyway.

once jeongguk had opened the door, taehyung stepped inside and turned around ready to say something but the boy had already disappeared.

"your owners a little weird." taehyung mumbled as he put the puppy down and began to walk around the place to try and find dog food. it was messy, but not messy to the point it was gross and worrying.

it was definitely jeongguk's personality. there were alcohol bottles propped up on window sills as decoration and things randomly scattered that just added to the mysterious vibe he had. each part of the floor had its own scenery such as the niche artist posters and pictures of jeongguk's adventures.
