Chapter 5: Warriors and Riders

"Ah! August, how is the training going." Viggo asks, as he sees August enter into the tent.

"Its going good. They just finished a light day of marching all day. But their real training starts tomorrow its going to be hell week. How is it going with the dragons? Would you like me to train them up and capture the dragons ourselves or are you going to capture the dragons."

"You guys capture your own dragons, ill give you a boat. I have just received word that Ryker has met up with Dagur and someone unexpected. Heather."Viggo says dramatically.

"I know of her, i don't trust she is sincere tho." August says. Recalling the events of the show.

"I dont as well. Keep the plans of dragon riding on the down low, they are expected to arrive back at base in a week or 2."

August nodded his head. "Ill go bring the warriors and riders i am training out to the islands to capture some dragosn for their training and bring it back for you to sell and them to practise."

Viggo nodded his head. "I will give you a boat with dragon cages. How is it going with the transport team?"

"They should be ready top launch in a few days. The crafters and researchers are currently building new boats and weapons while the workers are making more dragon proof metal. We are thinking of not only making dragon proof chains but also a support to hold the chains made up of dragon proof metal, with a lot of weight below it so the dragons would not be able to get out of it. The researchers are also working on more potent sedatives for dragons, so they would be put down more easily."

"Good!" Viggo says.

"We just need the dragon eye." Viggo says.

August's eyes lit up. "Why dont we just make one, dont ask me how i know this. But i think we would be able to make our very own dragon eye. We just need the lenses. Hold up."

August took out his phone and googled the dragon eye. He tried to find the location of the lenses as his memory was bad and he cant remember them all, but was met with a pop up message from god saying

'sorry man, cant have you knowing everything. But to build your own dragon eye, you only need the gems Ruby, Sunstone, Topaz, Emerald, Turquoise, Sapphire and Amethyst. Good luck.'

"Okay we need 7 gemstones, a ruby, a sunstone, a topaz, a emerald, a turquoise, a sapphire and an amethyst. But i suggest we secretly make a new dragon eye. But proceed with the original plans first, so that the dragon riders would not suspect anything."

Viggo's jaw dropped. "You are a treasure." he says, chuckling and shaking his head.

"I know." August says cockily.

"I would build the dragon eye, and after training your riders and warriors, as well as getting all the dragons needed. We can start hunting down lenses. I have plans to attack the Dragon Rider's base. While they are distracted fighting, you swoop in and take their lenses. Make sure they dont see you."

August nodded at Viggo's order, his face turning serious.

"I will proceed with the snow expedition, to hunt down the snow wraith. While the dragon riders are distracted with the fighting, find out everything you can about them."

August nodded. Feeling the joy of battle in his veins once again. He cant wait to break the warriors and riders down and build them back up. An evil smile made the way unto his face. And Viggo would not admit it, but a shiver went down his spine.

A week later

August was setting off with the warriors and riders to capture some Razor Whips. The warriors and Riders have been through hell and back with the training. August has a theory that Vikings are strong in general. As with just hell week they have grown exponentially.

August observes their biceps with envy. He had a lean body compared to the vikings. Thou he judged it a bit unfairly as he barely exercised besides running beside them and shouting at them.

August led the vikings to islands near the maidenwing island. And sure enough, there were baby Razorwhips. August gave the warriors and riders a signal to round them up, so thats what they did. With their training, the warriors and riders rounded up the baby Razor whips with relative ease.

They fed them well, and put them in cages. Along the way back they stopped by many islands, capturing a total of 16 Monstrous nightmare, 10 deadly nadders, 8 changewings, 5 gronckles, 2 Changewings, and a cavern crasher[ which was captured due to luck, and August's skill that makes dragons friendly.]

August went around the ship feeding the dragons and petting the dragons. The dragons stayed happy the entire ride, especially the baby Razor Whips that cuddled with August. The warriors were manning the ship while the riders were choosing a Razorwhip. They captured 46 Razor Whips of different sizes and ages.

Each Rider chose one of the bigger Razor Whips, using knowledge that August told about them. They quickly bonded. There were 32 riders. So there were Razor Whips with no rider.

August swiftly took care of them. Viggo was hiring more people. And last he heard, there were more dragon riders being hired.

The razor whips cuddled to August's warm body. August wrapped his wings around them. [the entire time had his wings out, the warriors and riders know about wings but don't ask questions]

The riders observed the Razorwhips, then at August. August taught them all that if you take care of your dragon, it takes care of you. He also told them that although they were small, and they couldn't ride them. The razorwhips are able to climb on the back and lift them up to fly.

Though the riders thought of August as the Devil incarnate from their hell training, he was a smartass devil.

The baby Razorwhips nibbled on the collar by his neck, causing August to laugh and gently pushed them aside. August asked the crafters to make him a collar with leather and dragon proof metal. Engraved on it is the dragon hunter symbol, and the words Major General A.

Viggo waited at the dock for August. Still a bit peeved by the news that Ryker had the dragon riders in his grasp, but they got away. He hoped for some good news by the treasure that never fails and keeps on giving.

As the boat got nearer, there were no dragon sounds coming out of it, making Viggo furrow his eyebrows.

When the ship docked. August jumped off the ship with his wings tucked in, making a trumpet sound.

Bruu bru bru
Bru bru bru bru
Dun dun dun duuuuuun

"Squadron! Salute President Viggo."

A stomp was heard, and everyone on the ship saluted.

"You better have good news for me." Viggo says.

August smile grows wider. He led Viggo onto the ship. Showing off the dragons kept on the front deck. "16 monstrous nightmares, 10 deadly nadders, 5 gronkles and 2 changewings."

Viggo was silently impressed.

"Now for the good stuff. Please follow me your highness." August gave a dramatic bow as he led Viggo below deck.

Viggo saw the all the Razorwhips and a smirk broke through his stoic facade.

"My squadron has managed to capture 46 Razorwhips, all 32 of the riders have one. Leaving 14 more." Viggo smiled. His eyes slowly drifted to the covered cage at the back of the ship.

"And for the main event." August says dramatically. "A cavern crasher!" August says as he took off the cloth covering the cage.

Viggo was in joy. August has never failed to impress and surprise him.

"You did well. Bring them out."

August nodded, and whistled. The 14 Razorwhips grabbed onto his body while the other Razorwhips climbed onto the backs of their owners.

The warriors started unloading all the dragons which was an easier task then usual as August's aura was keeping them calm.

At the main tent

"The attack on Dragon's Edge is starting. Don't disappoint me." Viggo said with his eyebrow creased. Throwing August a map.

"Yes sir." August says cheekily, catching the map.

Spreading his wings and flying off into the direction of Dragons Edge.
