Abigail's POV

Wow. What a week this has been, but it's finally Wednesday afternoon. I turned in my project on Monday, and I am hoping to hear something about my grade. I feel confident that I did well on my last two exams. One of the professor's said he will try to get them graded and final grades out by Friday. He knows that students who are congratulating on Saturday really want to know if they passed. The other said he will get grade graded at some point. I think it's his last year teacher, so he doesn't care. Oh, well. I know I did great in that class.

Tyler, Stacy, and I are eating ice cream in one of the court yards as a celebration for the end of exams.

"I know we talked about this already, but things do change. What is everyone's plan after graduation?" Tyler asks.

"Well, I have accepted a job offer from the police department that is only an hour away from my parents. It's a detective position. It's nice that it's only one hour away from my parents too so that's nice. Since I had to pay a full months rent for this month. I will be staying in this area until the middle of the month. My parents said it would be good for me because I would not have to worry about packing and exams at the same time. Plus, I will get some well-deserved beach time." I answered.

"Cool. I am staying to the end of the month. We can hang out and go to the beach together. I am still waiting to hear back from a few jobs I applied for. Until then, my parents said I can move back home and my old boss at the department store said he would be happy to have me back," Stacy said.

"Don't worry, Stacy. You will find a job with your degree soon. Your grades are great. I know you struggled in Professor Smith's class, but you got your grade back up. I think their was another position at the place I applied. It would be so cool if we worked together. I will send you the information," I said reassuringly.

"Yes, please." Stacy said happily.

"Tyler what are your plans?" Stacy asked him.

"I thought you would never ask. I got a paid internship at a local FBI office. I start in two weeks. The apartment I am in right now the rent is reasonable so I got my lease extended. I like this town and I am happy I get to stay in it for a while," he said with a big grin.

"That's great! We all get to hang out for a little while longer before we go our separate ways. Of course we will keep in touch through Facebook and texting," I said happily.

"You bet. Oh, I need to go. I am tutoring a freshman and his Biology exam in tomorrow," Tyler said as he got up and gathered his things.

"He's got a great tutor. He will do well," I tell Tyler.

Stacy and I tell Tyler bye. We sit there for another 30 minutes just talking and wondering what we can do for the rest of the day.

"How about we go downtown and do some window shopping? Some of those local stores might have great stuff with our college logo on them because it's graduation weekend. They know parents and other family will be coming to town and might buy that stuff for presents." Stacy said excitedly.

"I love that idea! I do want a Christmas ornament with our college logo. We can eat dinner at our favorite local diner," I say also getting excited.

Just then, my cell phone gets an email notification. I open the email and it's from Professor Smith. I get a concerned look on my face.

"Hey what is it?" Stacy asks as she sees my face change.

"It's an email from Professor Smith. He wants me to come to his office tonight at 7pm to discuss my project. I can't think about what he would want to discuss. I had everything in order: all my notes, references, I proofread it, and so did you. He hasn't called me into his office to discuss anything with any of his classes I have taken," my voice filled with concern. I could get a 50 on this test and still past the class but that would drop my average and my place close to the top of the graduation class.
