Alastor's POV
I listen to Abigail tell her major and Detective Glass what happened in the basement. That the man's name is Remiel Heaven. Remiel said that God talked to him when he was 16. God said he was an angel in human, and he needed to help pure souls to get to heaven. Remiel believed he could have sex with any lady, and she would stay pure. To see if they were pure, he would rape them and then struggle them. The drawing on the forehead are not birds but wings. He slapped her when she screamed at him and called sick delusional bastard. He punched her when she said he was just a horny teenager who could not get a date, so he came up with this plan.
"Abigail, did you really need to say that?" Her major asks.
Me on the other hand, can't help but shake my head and have a genuine smile on my face. Like I have thought before the nerve of this woman.
"Did he tell you why he changed his plan about you?" Detective Glass asks.
"He accused me of talking to a demon on Monday evening. He did say he would spy on some of his victims. I was alone that evening. I have no idea what he saw. So, in his mind, he needed to kill the demon in order to save me and then make me pure."
"How did he plan on making you pure to be able to go to heaven?"
"In his mind, he said the demon probably raped me, so I wasn't pure anymore. If he killed the demon, I could confess my sins and ask to be forgiven, and then he would send me to heaven. If the demon didn't show up, he at first wanted to...(fast breathing)...bury me alive. But he changed that plan because he really wanted me to go to heaven so he would make me confess my sins, renounce the devil, and after that, he was going to drown me in holy water." This part Abigail voice was shaking.
"How about the cuts on your shoulder? They are not deep, but why did cut you?"
"Remiel started to get inpatient. He asked if I could summon the demon. At one point, I started to play into his illusion. I told him I could not summon the demon. I was the demons servant, not the other way around. I guess he didn't believe me and cut my shoulder. He asked again, and I gave the same answer, which rewarded me with a cut on my other shoulder." Once again, Abigail's voice is shaking.
During this part, I start to growl. I so want to visit that bastard in this hospital room. I really am seeing how much pain and terror Abigail went through because she didn't want to see me hurt. I start to get this feeling in my chest. It's a feeling I haven't felt in a long time. It's a feeling I had when I would be with my mother and Mrs. Bee. It's the feeling of knowing someone cares about you. It's not romantic love but like the love you have for family and friends. I am friends with Rosie down in hell, but this feeling is different. I don't know if Rosie would lay down her life for mine. Well, if I am being honest if it was the other way around, I would help her but not sacrifice myself for her.
Going into the devil's trap, I guess it could be seen as a sacrifice because I had to relay on Abigail breaking the circle. I think really hard on this, I come up with a conclusion. I knew deep down Abigail would not leave me behind. When I first tried to approach her, she started having a fit so I could notice the trap. She didn't know she could break the devil's trap, and we both would be free.
At this time and middle aged nurse comes in with Abigail's lunch.
"Sorry it took so long to get you some lunch, hun. The doctor wants you on bland foods for two days because you haven't eaten in a while. The kitchen had to fix something up," the nurse tells Abigail.
The nurse sets the tray down in front of Abigail and then starts to help Abigail sit up.
"I know it's your job to help, but I can set up on my own," Abigail tells the nurse.
