Sky people and titans - Avatar X Titanfall (paused)

Part 3: First Contact

Y/N and Athena quickly moved towards the position of the last signal, but still had a good way to cover.

"//PILOT, I AM DETECTING A NEW CHANNEL. TUNING IN NOW\\"

"^^...Iron sky, Blue one, Actual...^^"  This time, the voice was English, making Y/N frown even more.

"^^...Blue one, Iron sky, send your traffic...^^"  The radio call was answered by an older female voice.

"^^...We're standing by for extract, over...^^"  The male voice spoke again.

"^^...Be advised, we are bringin' in high value prisoners...^^"

"^^...Sit tight, Blue one, we're inbound to your pos..^^"

After that, the comms were cut. The pilot and his titan continued to move towards the signal's position.

"//CAREFUL PILOT, WHATEVER WE MIGHT ENCOUNTER MIGHT BE HOSTILE\\"

"I know, AT. Came to my mind the moment I heard the words "high value prisoners". I don't like this..."

"//AGRRED. WARNING: THE ECLIPSE IS BEGINNING SHORTLY\\"

"Noted." Y/N responded, taking a deep breath.

As he looked up, he saw three very big birds descend towards the trees. It seemed that there were figures on top of those birds.
He ignored them for now and instead checked his weapons, getting ready for possible enemy contact. A few moments later, the eclipse happened. It got darker, some plants started to glow, and it started to rain Y/N could softly hear the water droplets tick against the metal chassis of his titan. The radio picked up again, but it was a bit more distorted than before.

"^^...Blue one...r-ready...three minutes o-out...^^

"//PILOT, WE WILL REACH THE SIGANL IN APPROXIMATELY TWO MINUTES. ACTIVATE YOUR GAME FACE\\"

Y/N slowly nodded to himself, smirking behind the helmet at Athena's dry attempt at a human remark. Out of nowhere, a loud yipping was heard. It sounded like it came from an animal.

"PILOT, MY ANALYSIS INDICATE THAT THAT SOUND DID NOT COME FROM AN ANIMAL. ARMING XO-16 AND ROCKET PODS\\"

"Sounds good... I'm done for a firefight..." Y/N mumbles to himself while cocking his G2.

The yips repeated themself a few times. Not long after, the titan broke through the bushes and halted in front of a strange sight. Twelve tall blue, tall humanoids in military gear, three shorter blue humanoids in tribal clothing being held by them, and one human boy, also with tribal clothing and blue lines painted on his body. As the 24 feet tall robot came to a stand still, twelve guns were trained on it. Immediately, Athena raised her XO-16, ready to mow them all down with 20 millimeter rounds. One of the blue humanoids with military clothing and short black hair stepped forward. On his plate carrier is a patch with "recom" on it.

"Are you RDA personnel?" The black haired blue man asked.

"What's RDA?" Y/N asked back in a snarly tone.

At that, the recoms hold their weapons even more aggressively. Just as the apparent leader wants to speak up, an arrow comes seemingly out of nowhere and hits one of the blue soldiers in the head, killing him instantly. As his body hits the ground, he releasing the human boy and the blue girl. The leader of the recoms shoves the human boy and the not-so-human girl to the side and begins shooting towards the direction where the arrow came from. Multiple recoms follow suit, and begin shooting at that direction and seek cover, but some also begin to fire at the titan. The bullets get easily absorbed by the shields, blue sparks flying everywhere.

"//CONTROL SYSTEMS TRANSFERRED TO PILOT\\"

The moment Y/N hears that, he takes control and makes Athena dash backwards. A grenade impacts against the shield, making it light up brightly, shortly limiting the view. As the light clears, Y/N can see that the shorter blue male has apparently pulled the pin of a smoke grenade. Dense yellow mist spreads around the blue soldiers. Y/N takes this opportunity and returns fire, the XO-16 shredding one of the recoms. Another arrow flies through the trees, hitting a female blue soldier who grabbed onto the blue girl as she tried to flee.

Athena's chassis dashes back again, disappearing behind the bushes and trees as two more grenades fly towards the duo. Y/N disembarks, jumping out of the cockpit and using his grappling hook to jump towards a tree branch, landing on it. He hand signals Athena to hold her position and not engage unless needed. Y/N looks down at the recoms. A few were dead on the ground, but most of them were still standing, ducking in cover. The leader slightly peaked out of cover.

"That you, Mrs. Sully? I recognize your calling card." The leader spoke.

Y/N looked through his magnifying scope. He couldn't get his sights on the leader, but in a short moment, he could read the name patch: Quarritch. Y/N used the quick moment of calm to reposition. He carefully jumped from tree to tree with the aid of his jump kit, though every time he tried to get one of the recom soldiers in sight, something was always in the line of fire. Eventually, Y/N jumped to a tree that served as a solid observation point for the battle. He heard Quarritch speak up again.

"Why don't you come on out, Mrs. Sully? You and I got some...unfinished business."

Shortly after, the apparent enemy, a female voice answered in broken English.

"Demon! I will kill you as many times as I have to!"

"I guess you and the Corporal have been pretty busy, haven't you? Dropped yourself a whole litter of half-breeds." Quarritch responds

As Y/N listens to the "nice conversation", he sees movement below him. As he aims down, he he's another big, blue humanoid, in the size of the others, but wearing tribal gear. The pilot, and the tall blue male make eye contact, but Y/N quickly lowers his rifle, understand what was probably happening. He gives the male a tiny nod, and surprisingly, the blue male returns it and continues moving, disappearing behind the bushes.

"Athena, whatever happens, do NOT engage the blue humanoids with the the tribal clothing!" Y/N says over comms while taking a deep breath.

"//COPY THAT, PILOT\\"

Y/N looks down at the soldiers again. Suddenly, he hears one of the recoms loudly yell "NA'VI!" and the silence gets broken by machine gun fire, muzzle flashes and shots filling the jungle. As the gun fire picks up again, Y/N jumps down to also take part in the gunfight. The moment his feet hit the ground, he slides to a thicc tree and begins to open fire towards the machine gun. He instantly gets the answer, in form of heavy fire towards his position. In the distance,
Y/N could hear the explosions of grenade launchers. Then, out of the bushes, 20 millimeter rounds fly as suppressive fire towards the position of the recoms. It's not very precise, but it makes the blue hostiles duck for cover.

Overhead, Y/N can hear the sound of propellers and engines. As he peeks out of cover, he sees Quarritch carrying the motionless human boy. He takes a deep breath, before storming out of cover, trying to get to Quarritch and the boy. As he comes out onto a more open area, he hears the sounds of twin rotors. Y/N turns around, coming face to face with a Scorpion gunship, and its two tri-barrel gatling guns, which began to start spinning.

(Author's note: Wow. Didn't really think that this chapter was so long in the end. I knew that there would be a lot of words, especially when quoting the dialogues one-to-one, but DAMN, 1250 WORDS?!?! I personally like the current style of the writing and the gore aspects, since I don't think it's too much. I know it's still "the kids avatar" but when mixing in titanfall, THERE WILL BE GORE. If there are any things I should add or change, please comment them. I'm looking forward to them;)
