Night 14 (SE6 : BOTD)

New Modifier : Beasts of the Dark

Random monsters appear and patrol in the forest, attacking anyone who crosses their path

-Shelly and Spike remain in their camp safely, alternating between sleeping and standing guard to watch for enemies

-Jessie, Leon, Nita and Bo go out hunting for additional resources like weaponry and medical resources to stock up on in case it was needed in any dangerous or life-threatening situations in the future. While doing so, they are attacked by a three-headed ice dragon with a large metal-spiked tail. The gigantic night beast kills Jessie in the fight and injures all three of them before Nita blows it up successfully with a dozen grenades

-Squeak continues to try digging his way out of the hole with his shovels; slowly but surely, he begins to emerge from the pile of rubble and create a new cavern for him to rest in and put all his overflowing resources

-While Penny and Darryl continue chopping down wood, they are attacked by a gigantic black-coloured, monstrous bear with thick fur rippling with flames, a giant, metallic jaw lined with spikes and long diamond-chip claws. The fearsome beast slices down numerous trees around them, damages half of their base, creates a gigantic crater in the ground and kills Penny with its claws before Darryl, his limbs burned by the beast's flames, manages to slay him with a large broadsword

-After two days, the scorpion poison from the dead Willow spreads all the way to Carl's heart, infiltrating it and making him die a painful death, leaving him convulsing on the floor of the cave before he finally passed away

-Maisie and 8-Bit's burns have almost completely healed thanks to the help of their counterparts Jacky, Rico, Fang and Buster

-While training, Edgar and Colette are ambushed by a fearsome monster hidden in the cowls of darkness in the forest. The beast, a gigantic bird with eyes of pure fury, a stone body and razor-sharp claws, lets out numerous thunderous roars before Edgar and Colette successfully kill the anomaly with bombs and grenades, leaving Colette slightly injured by flying chips of stone and Edgar with a large cut down his right leg, dripping large amounts of blood thanks to a strike from the bird's claws

-Hank and Frank are suddenly attacked as they attempt to return to their base; a large demon, the height of at least four men, with a diamond broadsword for its right hand and a large metal chain for its left hand, a pair of eyes shooting out blinding bright beams of light and humongous, crushing, poisoned-spiked feet. However, Hank and Frank, well-trained by their regimen, easily defeat the towering monster with their swords and daggers as well as some hand grenades. Hank receives a small slash to his hand while Frank is hit by numerous diamond chips from the warrior

-Grom, Ash and R-T stay awake and dead silent for the whole night, having spotted a giant demon prowling around outside their base and realising it must have been part of a modifier and that it would disappear the next day

-Pearl, Belle, Sam, Sprout and Eve encounter a dark, shapeshifting beast in the forest while continuing their training. The magic-powered demon continuously changes between numerous different forms, such as a tall, rough-scaled dragon who spat ice, some sort of ugly sea creature with gigantic tentacles for hands and a archer sitting on a tall, green horse. Finally, the five of them manage to strike one of its heads off while it turns into a gigantic two-headed beast with a snake's head for the left one and a lion's for the other. While it is wounded, they manage to lasso its long snake-like body and slice it into numerous pieces, effectively killing it

-Chuck, Stu, Janet, Bonnie and Gus remain quiet for the whole night as they observe some sort of monstrous cross between a gazelle and a pig stalking around outside their base, looking for prey to kill

-Mr. P, Byron and Lola encounter a human-sized wizard-beast who shoots all sorts of odd spells at them, freezing Lola in an ice block and almost stunning Byron with some sort of lightning ray. However, the enemy is completely outnumbered by Mr. P's numerous porters which went hunting after him, pelting him with ice blocks continuously and distracting him from the bigger enemies. Byron then successfully splashes a potion on him, making him fall asleep and allowing Mr. P to shoot him dead with a rifle

-Doug, Amber and Meg stay silent for the entire night, trying not to attract the two huge beasts prowling around outside to their base, knowing they were probably extremely dangerous and a result of some sort of new modifier that would disappear the next day. At least, hopefully

-Kit and Clancy hide in their underground pit and do not even dare to make a single sound so as to not attract the attention of some sort of six-headed, blue-scaled, giant-tongued, metal-spiked snake slithering around outside, its hisses extremely loud and a bit scary, especially when it came nearer and nearer to their base, perhaps having picked up on their scent and being ready to attack them suddenly

-Charlie and Draco, who were both above ground and outside their base attempting to conceal their emergency exit passage, are suddenly ambushed by a huge flying serpent, one with giant white fangs dripping with black venom, its eyes full of red-hot rage and its body extremely long. With its swift, agile moves, it speeds around them, almost impossible to hit, and extremely dizzying and equally deadly to them. Finally, Draco manages to burn one of its wings off, making it fall and allowing Charlie to cocoon it and trap it inside for the rest of the night

-Otis runs into a living tree which bends all nearby trees to its will, attacking Otis. He whips out his twin swords and chops them down as he races away from the tree. Finally, he catches the tree off guard by launching a grenade at its feet. When the tree leaps away, he strikes both its orange eyes with his long, deadly twin swords. The monster is blinded, and Otis seizes the opportunity to easily stab it to death by hitting its orange heart

-Melodie sleeps the night soundly

-Chester, Moe and Kenji, unaffected by the beast modifier as they hide in the mountain, take turns to watch for enemies throughout the night, unaware that there were beasts prowling around all over the beast, some of them having killed other tributes already
