Six years had passed in a blink, and Nirmay and Vanika had navigated numerous ups and downs, but they managed to stay strong together. The warmth of their home reflected the love and patience they shared, even in challenging moments.

Inside her room, Vanika was sitting on the bed, trying to teach math to their five-year-old son, Arsh Oberoi. The little boy was sprawled out, showing no interest in learning how to count or write numbers. Vanika, with her patience wearing thin, tried to keep her temper in check.

"Arsh! I’m warning you, ek thappad milega, aur phir akal aa jayegi. Next week se exams hain, aur tumhe kuch bhi nahi aata!" she scolded, her voice sharp with frustration. Arsh looked up at her with big, pleading eyes, his lips curving into a perfect puppy face, hoping to escape her wrath.

Just then, Nirmay walked into the room and took in the scene before him. He saw his wife’s exasperated expression and his son’s hopeful gaze.

"Why are you yelling at him? Pyar se bhi samajh jayega na," Nirmay said gently, sitting down beside his son. Arsh immediately scooted closer to his father, seeking refuge.

Vanika huffed in annoyance, crossing her arms. "Ye pyar se samjhega? Ye? Jab tak kaan kheech ke baithao na, tab tak padhne baithta hai. Sab aapke wajah se hua hai. Aur chadha lo sar pe. Arush bhaiya ko dekho, kitna padhte hain wo, like a good boy," she retorted, her frustration spilling over.

Arsh, sensing an opportunity to escape his studies, piped up with a mischievous grin, "Pal Vidisha toh nahi padhti." He said , thinking about Piyali and Shikhar 's newborn babygirl.

Vanika sighed, rubbing her temples. "Wo abhi choti hai tumse, school nahi jati," she explained, trying to remain calm.

"Mai bhi nahi jaunga phir, mujhe bhi nahi padhna padega," Arsh declared smartly, thinking he’d found a loophole in the rules.

Nirmay chuckled softly at his son’s quick wit.

Vanika’s eyes widened in mock outrage as she watched her son’s antics. "Kitna dusht hai ye ladka! Nirmay, aap toh aise nahi the," she remarked, shaking her head in disbelief.

Nirmay, ever calm and collected, shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly. "Tum toh thi," he quipped back, a playful glint in his eyes.

Vanika gasped, feigning shock. "Aap mujhe dusht keh rahe hain?" she asked, her hand flying to her chest in exaggerated disbelief.

Before Nirmay could respond, Arsh, who had been listening intently to the exchange, chimed in with a cheeky grin. "Mumma, yaha aapke alawa koi aur nahi hai," he pointed out, causing Nirmay to chuckle.

Vanika, still caught up in the playful banter, let out a dramatic sigh. "Kyun pareshan karte ho mumma ko?" she whined, her voice laced with mock despair. But despite the light-hearted tone, it was clear she wanted Arsh to focus on his studies.

Nirmay, seeing the opportunity to step in, leaned forward and addressed Arsh with a gentle but firm tone. "Arsh, beta, padhai karna zaroori hai. You need to study, complete your work, and score good marks. It’s important for your future."

Arsh, who had been hoping to wriggle out of studying, tried to resist, pouting in protest. But when Nirmay’s voice took on a slightly stricter edge, Arsh instantly straightened up, sensing that his father meant business. Without another word, he slipped off the bed and made his way to the study table, finally giving in to the inevitable.
