Alright, you’ve read the first few chapters, and by now, you must have realized that Vanika is immature as hell, right? Well, guess what? That’s exactly how I wrote her. That’s the whole point of the story. I warned you all from the beginning, if you can’t handle an immature female lead, this book is not for you. So instead of continuing to read and constantly spitting hate comments about her, why not just leave? It’s your choice.
I’ve seen the comments, and let me make one thing clear, I can take criticism. If someone points out her immaturity, I don’t react because I know it’s true. But what I won’t tolerate are hateful, toxic comments like-
"She’s a bitch."
"She’s a pick-me girl."
"She doesn’t deserve to be an officer."
"She doesn’t deserve Nirmay."
Excuse me? She is not here for you to relate to. She is a character with flaws, and she is meant to grow.
And about "she doesn’t have the nature of an officer". What exactly is the nature of an officer? Does every officer fit into the same personality mold? If you are saying Vanika is unfit just because she is immature in her personal life, let me remind you that many real-life officers have committed far worse things, yet they still made it into the system. There have been officers accused of molestation, corruption, bribery, power abuse, and yet no one questions how they became officers. If officers with such loose morals can exist, then why can’t an immature yet hardworking person like Vanika be one?
Have I ever shown her messing up her missions due to her immaturity? No. Her immaturity appears before or after a task, but not during. Yet, I don’t see any of you acknowledging that.
And another thing, where were all of you when she did something brave? I’ve never seen the same people who spread negativity actually commenting on her strong moments. Funny how that works, right? You only notice what you hate but conveniently ignore everything else.
Now, let’s talk about development. She will grow, but gradually. Real character development doesn’t happen overnight. You all want a 360-degree change, but that’s not how it works. She will develop after chapters 20-23, but she won’t suddenly turn into a perfect, mature, emotionless machine. That’s not realistic. Growth takes time.
And to those saying "I’m leaving this book", please do. If you’re so frustrated with her and refuse to read her development, then just leave silently instead of making a dramatic exit announcement. I’m not forcing anyone to stay.
Again, Vanika will develop, but it will take time. If you can’t handle that, then please, I beg you, just leave now rather than continuing to spread unnecessary negativity.
And also comments like, "How did she even pass the exams?" or "How did she clear the interview?" just because she does stupid things in front of her friends or cracks jokes. So let me make this very clear,;her personality and her competence as an officer are two separate things.
Passing an exam or an interview isn’t about being mature, it’s about knowledge, skills, and performance. She has the intelligence and capability to qualify for her position, and her personal immaturity has nothing to do with that. In real life, too, there are many highly skilled professionals who may be goofy, reckless, or fun-loving in their personal lives but are extremely competent in their jobs.
And one more thing, this is fiction. It’s a story, not a real-life documentary. If real movies and books can show officers with tragic pasts, revenge plots, or even corrupt behaviors, why can’t I write a female officer with an immature personality? Fiction is meant to explore different types of characters, and Vanika’s growth is part of the story.
So, to those questioning how she passed, she passed because she deserved to. She knows when to be serious, and she performed well in the exams and interviews. Her immaturity doesn’t define her intelligence or skills as an officer.
Thank you for choosing this book !!
