Meanwhile) I quickly arrived at the break room and saw that many of the workers and security guards were still in it talking to each other, with others sitting alone. After looking around for about thirty seconds, I noticed Jessica sitting in her security uniform on a chair while sipping a drink from one of the nearby vending machines. I also saw that she had something in her right hand, specifically a blue figure of some sort. Curious and happy to see her, I approached her.

"Hi Jessica," I said with a smile, prompting her to turn to me and smile back.

"Hello Y/N! It's nice to see you again," she said happily, setting her drink down as she adjusted herself in the seat.

"I can say the same thing about you, Jessica," I said happily while sitting in a chair next to her. "Jessica, I came here to tell you that-"

"Sorry for interrupting you!!" She said quickly and apologetically. "Y/N, I was going to do this when I saw you again but would you like to see my new piece?" Jessica said pulling a gun out of her holster.

I made a very surprised face upon seeing her pistol that was once a 1911 now a Glock 17, I took it from her hand and looked at it like a toy with wide eyes. "Wow, that's a nice upgrade" I trailed off, not sure how to continue.

Noticing this, Jessica spoke up quickly. "Yeah, thanks" She explained.

"Oh, I'm glad you like it!" Jessica said

"Hey Y/N, what were you going to tell me before I interrupted you?" Jessica asked. When she asked me, I quickly remembered why I came here, and smiled widely.

I told her everything about my brother's recovery and that the company gave me a few days off, which I was going to take advantage of to meet with them and see in person how they were doing. She listened attentively, a large smile forming on her face.

"That's very good news. I'm so happy for you Y/N!" she said, congratulating me with a handshake. "I'm sure they will be waiting for you with a big surprise for your birthday and for the good work you did for them."

"Yes, that's for sure," I said cheerfully, before frowning slightly. "Although I'm enjoying the last moments of this place before I leave for a few days, Catnap didn't take the news very well when I told her I was leaving. She hugged me and didn't want to let go of me at all," I continued sadly.

Jessica nodded in understanding. "It's understandable. During these months she's been very affectionate with you, always looking for you like a pet that wants to be loved all the time." Then she sighed. "I would almost go so far as to say too much, so much so that she's become very overprotective of you."

That made me nod, knowing exactly what she meant by that. "Sometimes when I saw you next to Catnap, I was afraid to get close to you for fear that Catnap would attack me and hurt me," she said with chills in her voice, causing me to frown.

"It's true, sometimes that attitude of hers was a little annoying. But I will still miss her. I hope she understood that I won't be gone forever," I said and then thought, 'If it were possible, I would take her home. I can only imagine my family's faces of surprise and shock.' My brother and mother would scream with shock and alarm upon seeing a cat as rare as CatNap, while my sister would scream with excitement at seeing one of her favorite characters in person. I also imagined the face of a thief who might enter my house and instead of finding a normal cat, finding one more than 3 or 4 meters tall with black eyes, white pupils and a disturbing smile. They'd never come near our house again!! I chuckled at that thought,

"Well Jessica, it was a pleasure talking to you again, but I have to say goodbye. I hope to see you in the future when I return," I said as I got up from the seat and headed towards the nearby exit.
