UPDATE ( i made a change to this chapter, Enjoy!)

After an unknown amount of time passed, I slowly opened my eyes and felt that I was on my knees, with my knees gently pressing into a solid piece of wood. I was going to rub my eyes to clear my vision, but when I tried to lift my arms, I discovered that they were chained. That made me open my eyes quickly and blink them several times, before I then saw that I was in some kind of small jail cell, with chains tied ending in black shackles on my arms and legs i then realized half of my uniform was gone leaving me with a white T-shirt and my blue uniform pants.

I desperately tried to free my limbs from the shackles that were holding me in place. But I couldn't get them out much less get up! I then looked around to see if anyone was around me and saw that there were other cells nearby, some closed and covered in shadows and others completely open and empty.

Upon seeing them, I quickly knew where I was. I was in the Playhouse, where the children were entertained and had lots of fun.

"Well, you're finally awake, sleepyhead!" A friendly female voice said on my right side. I quickly turned to see who had spoken and I was very surprised to see an orange anthropomorphic dog with floppy ears and a pendant in the shape of a sun. My eyes widened as I recognized the character, having seen her many times. It was DogDay! She looked just like she did in the cartoon, although she had a strange mark on her face.

I was left completely speechless at the sight.

DogDay looked at me with a big smile that seemed to be getting bigger every second. "You've been sleeping for a long time! We thought you were going to stay like this for much longer," the canine said happily while her tail moved from side to side behind her.

I didn't know what to say, I was so shocked by what I was seeing. Then after about ten more seconds had passed, I sighed, feeling a headache coming on from the absurdity of my current situation. Upon seeing a thoughtful look appearing on my face, DogDay asked,"Hey, are you okay?"

I shook my head quickly upon hearing that, my mind shaking with all the things I'd seen. "N-No! It's nothing. I just...I just don't know how to process all of this."

DogDay nodded in response. "I understand," she replied before thinking hard for about thirty seconds. Then she opened her mouth to speak again, but was interrupted by another female voice that sounded somewhat annoyed and somewhat rude as well as another figure entered the cell."Hey DogDay! I hear you talking to yourself! Did he wake up??" The figure asked before it stopped talking upon seeing that I was awake. A surprised look was on the figure's face for a few seconds before it changed into a massive smile. "Oh, you're finally awake! That's great!! I'll have to tell the others," The figure continued before turning around and retreating quickly into the shadows.

The figure was the yellow chicken Smiling Critter. I think it's named KickinChicken. I was so surprised to see another of the Smiling Critter, especially as a big toy and not one of the normal ones like the plushies I got for my sister.

I then looked back at DogDay with confusion, who turned to look at me with a wide smile while holding her paws together. I could hear footsteps slowly approaching the cell from the direction KickinChicken had gone, and soon some figures appeared from the darkness, walking towards me before coming to a stop next to DogDay. They were 6 of the 8 Smiling Critters: KickinChicken, Bobby Bearhug, PickyPiggy, Bubba Bubbaphant, CraftyCorn, and Hoppy Hopscotch.

I was even more surprised to see that all of the members of the Smiling Critters were big toys and not little ones. I didn't know what to say about it. Maybe I was still asleep and this was just a very strong lucid dream. Hoping that was the case, I tried to remove the chains that bound me with my imagination and pinched myself hard so I could wake up, but nothing happened, which confirmed that this was real. One hundred percent real! If it were a lucid dream, I would have broken free. 'I swear, if my sister was in the same situation as me right now she'd be having a massive fit of happiness before fainting after meeting these guys!' I thought as I looked at them with a bit of nervousness.
