Kaiju Girls: A New Era

A month has passed since Gojira brought Leo to Monster Island for training and his skills have improved dramatically since then. Leo has learned how to face multiple opponents and use the enemy's own ability against them. He's now able to hold his own against Anguirus, Rodan and Mothra but still hasn't reached the skill needed to defeat Gojira in a fight.

But whenever a training session happens, Leo has a repeat of what Freya said to him even though it was a test ordered by Gojira. The Queen of the Monsters really didn't like it, but it was necessary for her student. At the same time, hearing his fear of disappointing her and the stuff he had to endure did tug at some of her heart strings as it reminds Gojira when her mother was killed by an unknown device back in 1954 and Gojira was left alone until she met the other Guardian Monsters. Of course, she fought with them at first but later forged an alliance and friendship with them. Now, she's developing a friendship with a human.

When Leo has one of his episodes, Gojira cuts the training session until he calms down. That test clearly rattled her student. Whenever the Guardian Monsters offered to talk about it, Leo hides it behind a smile telling the Titans not to worry but they knew keeping feelings suppressed has negative consequences.

Leo is currently sitting on the shoulder of his NEXT looking at the horizon with an unreadable expression. When he hears one of the Guardian Monsters approaching, Leo quickly dons a smile, turning to see Mothra standing before.

Leo (doing a quick wave): "Hello, Mothra. What brings you here?"

Mothra: "About last month...about your fight with that Minotaur monster girl, she...Maybe we should hold off on your training until you are more mentally sound. Me and the others have noticed you've been experiencing episodes of that fight since then. Leo, that was a..." She gets interrupted when Gojira comes over.

Gojira: "Good morning, Leo. How are you doing?"

Leo: "So-so. What brings you here, Gojira? Another training session?"

Gojira: "No, today's your day off until you're more mentally there. I don't want my student freezing up during training." She hides the true reason of why she came over. The Queen of the Monsters wanted to tell Leo the truth but holds back. She sees the American blink in surprise.

Leo: "Really?"

Gojira: "Yes. It's not good if you're burnt out. So, take the day off, Leo. You earned it after the work you've been putting in the training sessions barring your freeze ups. The day off will help you recover." Leo proceeds to head for the lifting wire when he stops, curiosity gripping him.

Leo: "Say Gojira, how did that Minotaur know I'm your student? Did someone tip her off?" Mothra tenses, the realization the others have feared for a whole month had begun to show.

Leo: "Who tipped her off, Gojira? Tell me." Mothra feels anxiety beginning to form in her not liking where this is going. The other Guardian Titans appear after sensing Mothra's distress.

Anguirus: "What's going on here?" They see the redhead seem to piece it together.

Leo: "You were the one who told that Minotaur I'm your student, aren't you?" The Queen of the Monsters knew this moment would come eventually as Freya warned her.

Gojira: "Yes, it was me. Freya was my student before you. I sent her to face you as a test to see how you'd fair without me or the others there." Leo slowly turns around with a pissed off expression along with a snarl.
