The jet landed smoothly on the craft, and Agent Coulson and Steve Rogers stepped out as Natasha walked toward them.
"Agent Romanoff. Captain Rogers," Coulson introduced.
"Ma'am," Steve greeted her politely.
"Hi," Natasha replied, then turned to Coulson. "They need you on the bridge; they're starting the face trace."
"See you there," Coulson said, walking off.
Natasha turned back to Steve. "It caused quite the buzz around here, finding you in the ice. Thought Coulson was gonna swoon. Did he ask you to sign his Captain America trading cards yet?"
"Trading cards?"
"They're vintage. He's very proud."
Just then, they noticed a confused Bruce Banner, bumping into people as he observed the carrier.
"Doctor Banner," Steve called out.
"Oh, yeah, hi." Bruce shook his hand.
"Word is you can find the Cube," Steve said.
"Is that the only word on me?"
"It's the only one I care about."
"Must be strange for you, all of this."
"Actually, this is kind of familiar."
Natasha interrupted, "Gentlemen, you might want to step inside," but her words were drowned out as another jet landed on the craft.
The hatch opened, and down came a woman scowling and talking on the phone.
"You better answer your phone, Uncle Patchy. I don't know anyone here, and I'm starting to get lonely," Antonia said, clearly frustrated after leaving her third voicemail.
As attendants took her seven pieces of luggage inside, she tossed her phone to the ground, breaking it. She frowned for a moment, then pulled out a new one from her purse and smiled, completely unfazed.
Noticing everyone staring, she checked her compact mirror, saw nothing out of the ordinary, and asked innocently, "What?"
Everyone, except Natasha, Bruce, and Steve, quickly turned away.
Natasha, of course, knew Antonia's true identity. She "worked" for Stark, and though the girl was troublesome, Natasha had learned to manage. Antonia was always seeking her parents' attention, especially through rebellion, but she didn't realize Tony had been aware of her real identity all along. He wasn't one to take chances with his only child's safety.
Bruce didn't say anything, just stared in confusion. He knew Antonia Knight by reputation. She was second only to Tony Stark in terms of IQ, with her name frequently appearing in scientific journals before she mysteriously disappeared after high school. Until now, that is.
Steve thought she was stunning, but he'd never approach her. His heart still belonged to the woman he'd known for a brief moment. Even though she had moved on, he hadn't. Antonia was beautiful, sure, but her disregard for her phone and excessive luggage reminded him that she wasn't the kind of pure-hearted woman he longed for.
When Toni spotted them, she beamed and headed their way.
"My least favorite redhead!" she exclaimed with a grin, earning a blank look from Natasha. "How have you been since the... incident?" Her smirk hinted at shared history.
Antonia had a talent for causing trouble. Natasha once got a call at work:
"Natella!" Antonia yelled into the phone so loudly Natasha had to pull it away from her ear. "You should come party with me."
