Tony's suit lay on the ground in pieces while he remained on the boat.
"That came out of nowhere. Wow."
The door behind him swung open, revealing Rhodey.
"Give me some good news, man," Rhodey said.
"I think they all made it," Tony replied.
Rhodey sighed in relief. "Oh, thank God."
Then Tony relayed the bad news. "Yeah, but I missed the President."
Rhodey scoffed and walked away. "You couldn't save the President with the suit, how are we gonna save Misty with nothing?"
"Uh... Say, JARVIS, is it that time?" Tony asked.
"The House Party Protocol, sir?" JARVIS confirmed.
"Correct."
Somewhere far away, evil was being done.
Someone injected Misty with a mysterious substance.
Misty slowly woke but kept her breath shallow, making it seem like she was still asleep.
"Why isn't she awake? She should be up now," Aldrich said.
"I don't know, sir. She should be up now," his scientist answered, checking her vitals.
"Give her another dose."
"But sir, that could kill her," the man stated.
"Did I ask?" Aldrich snapped. "I said give the second dose."
"No need," Misty said, making her presence known before he could even finish the command.
"Well, good morning," Aldrich said sarcastically.
"I wouldn't call it a good one, since my view is being tarnished by your face," Misty shot back.
"Aww, don't be that way," Aldrich said.
She narrowed her eyes at him, then to the scientist. "You think he's gonna help you? He won't."
"Wasn't counting on it," she said coolly.
"Having you here is not just to motivate Tony Stark. It's, um..." Aldrich began.
"Well, it's actually more embarrassing than that. You're here as my, um-"
"Trophy," Misty scoffed.
He only hummed in response.
"Every day I wonder what a man will do to piss me off," she rolled her eyes.
Just then, the Iron Patriot suit landed.
"Good evening, sir," Aldrich smiled.
The suit opened, and the President fell out of it straight to the ground. Misty eyed the man. A flood of questions ran through her mind.
She could probably escape. In fact, she already had an escape plan.
But now, with the President's life on the line, she was obligated to... help.
She also needed to find out the plan. If Aldrich "won," what would the end goal even be?
"Welcome aboard, Mr. President," Killian saluted.
"Ever hear of an elephant graveyard? Well, two years ago, the elephant in the room was this scow."
He walked up the stairs with the President.
"This is the Roxxon Norco," the President noted.
Aldrich was quick to respond. "And of course, you'll remember that when she spilled a million gallons of crude off Pensacola, thanks to you, not one fat cat saw a day in court."
