Loki was escorted into the carrier with a smirk on his face, a pink tint coating that smirk.
He was led to a high security cell.
"In case it's unclear," Fury said as he started pushing buttons, "you try to escape, if you so much as scratch that glass..." The floor opened.
"Is this necessary, Uncle Patchy?" Antonia asked, looking down the pit and earning a side eye from him.
"It's 30,000 feet straight down in a steel trap. You get how that works?" Fury asked. "Ant, boot."
"No, not him!" Antonia exclaimed.
"Why are you here again?" Fury asked her.
Antonia looked at him as if he were dumb, then pointed dramatically to Loki. "Look at him!" She crossed her arms and looked at Fury. "I thought you were smart..."
"Sadly, you only have your father's sense of humor," Fury muttered.
"And his credit card," she added.
Loki laughed, breaking them out of their conversation. Antonia smiled in a hypnotic state. She was down so bad. "It's an impressive cage. Not built, I think, for me."
"I am!" Antonia said, earning another set of side eyes, one in annoyance and the other in curiosity.
"Built for something a lot stronger than you." Fury ignored her, putting his focus on Loki.
"Oh, I've heard." Loki then turned to the camera. "A mindless beast. Makes play he's still a man. How desperate are you that you call on such lost creatures to defend you?"
"Hey!" Antonia exclaimed. "Not too much on Banner!"
"How dare you?" Fury asked.
"How dare I?"
"You threaten my world with war, you steal a force you cannot hope to control, you talk about peace, and you kill because it's fun. You've made me very desperate. You might not be glad that you did."
"Ooh, it burns you to have come so close. To have the Tesseract, to have power. Unlimited power. And for what? A warm light for all mankind to share. And then to be reminded what real power is."
Antonia frowned.
Loki looked toward her for a split second, as if seeing her despair, before turning back to Fury.
Fury smiled before turning back and walking away, saying, "Well, let me know if 'real power' wants a magazine or something."
Antonia stayed and looked into Loki's eyes. "Now that we're alone—"
"ANTONIA!" Fury yelled, making her flinch.
"COMING!" she yelled back before turning to Loki again. "I never thought I'd be a pen pal for someone in..." She waved her arms at the cage. "Prison, but I'll send you letters."
She then hurried to exit as he smirked after her before turning to the camera.
The monitor on Cap's side of the table turned off.
"He really grows on you, doesn't he?" Dr. Banner asked.
"Loki's gonna drag this out. So," Steve stated, "Thor, what's his play?"
"He has an army called the Chitauri. They're not of Asgard, nor any world known. He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the Earth, in return, I suspect, for the Tesseract." Maria Hill walked over to them while Thor was speaking.
"An army, from outer space?" Steve asked, seemingly done with it.
"So, he's building another portal. That's what he needs Erik Selvig for," Banner asked.
